October 5 will be Israel Elisha Lamb’s 2nd birthday! And October 7 will be my 57th birthday.

Our Rachel just returned from London, England where she did graduate studies at the world famous Oxford University.

Joni & I, and the Daystar Singers, will be ministering for my close friend Pastor Joel Osteen at Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas on October 15. We will broadcast it live on Daystar. (This will be my sixth year in a row to preach for Pastor Joel!)

On October 19, we will minister for Pastor Jim Raley at Calvary Christian Center in Ormond Beach, Florida (close to Orlando and to Daytona.)

Please continue to pray for the nation of Israel. And please be faithful to any pledge that you have ever made to Daystar for Israel. We are pouring millions of dollars into Israel. So we really need everyone to be faithful to their Israel pledges. When you do, God will send “The Blessing” He has on Israel and His people upon you and your family!!!

faithful prayers have helped carry our dear friend through the darkest valley of his life! Recently, John Paul made his first public appearance post cancer surgery on Marcus and Joni. He shared about his experience battling cancer and how even though he wasn’t hearing from the Lord during that season, he continued to have faith, no matter how bleak his situation became. His testimony is incredible! He also shared more about his experiences on a recent episode of Joni Table Talk, and encouraged viewers to trust God in the midst of life’s difficulties. If you are facing a trial or serious situation in your life, and you’re not sure where to turn next, don’t give up! You can trust your uncertain future to an

all-powerful God. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the

Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own

understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him,

and He will direct your path.” Trust God to lead you through your valley, and cry out to Him in your darkest hour. When you choose to put your faith and

trust in Him, He will always direct your path. And if

you need prayer, remember you can always call our

We constantly express ourselves through

our actions and conduct - and even by

our body language. Just as our natural

posture conveys various emotions - such as

pain, joy, love, contentment - our spiritual

posture, such as our willingness to partner

in spreading the gospel, also “speaks” to

those around us that we practice the laws

of charity and possess a zeal for souls. The

more spiritually sensitive we are to the

Lord’s leading, such as showing charity, the

more joy we will feel. Jesus, as in all matters,

is our example. Christ-like posturing - which

is to say Biblical posturing - clearly shows

Jesus doing great deeds of charity (Matt.

19:21; 25:41-46). He wants our joy to be full

as well —he sees people hurting, he wants to

heal them. He hears the cries for help and he

longs to ease the pain. As we earnestly seek

to become like Him, the Holy Spirit comes

alongside us and teaches us to become more

open, attentive, and responsive to God

(Jn. 14:16). God calls, we respond. Biblical

posturing causes us to ask hard questions—

what more does God require of me? St.

Thomas Aquinas guides us here when he

said, “The perfection of the Christian Life

consists in charity, first and foremost in the

love of God, then in the love of neighbor”

– in other words, Christ-like posturing is

spreading the Gospel, becoming the Good

Samaritan. Thank you partners for planting

helping us reach a world badly in need of

the love and mercy that only Christ Jesus can

bring.

G O D S T I L L H E A L S !As many of you know, John Paul Jackson, frequent Joni Table Talk guest and host of the show, Dreams and Mysteries, was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year. The diagnosis came as a complete surprise – John Paul had been living a very healthy lifestyle, watching his diet and regularly running 5 miles a day. However, one morning in February

he set out for his usual run, but had to stop halfway through due to the overwhelming pain in his leg. He noticed a lump on the back of his leg, about the size of the palm of his hand, and decided to go to the doctor. After several tests, the doctor promptly informed him that he had a soft tissue sarcoma, and that the cancerous tumor was very aggressive.

Usually when someone receives a diagnosis such as this, the prognosis isn’t good. However, God had other plans for John Paul Jackson. He recently underwent major surgery to remove the tumor which, by that point, had begun to press against his sciatic nerve, causing excruciating pain. When the tumor was removed, it was approximately the size of a nerf football and weighed 12 pounds. The doctors told him that he may not be able to walk again after the surgery, but God had a different prognosis. Just four days after

the surgery, John Paul Jackson walked 1.2 miles without a cane or a walker! The doctors were all amazed by his quick recovery and said they had never seen anything like it in all their years of practicing medicine. What a powerful witness and testimony to God’s incredible healing power in John Paul Jackson’s life!Throughout this entire ordeal, John Paul never once heard God’s voice concerning the situation – no dreams, no prophetic words, nothing but silence. Through this experience, he was forced to trust and rely on God for everything, having faith even when he couldn’t hear God’s voice or understand why everything was happening. Psalms 23:4 says, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” He kept expecting God to take him out of the valley, to protect him from it, but instead God took him through it, bringing him safely out on the other side. Today, he is doing much better. He recently went in for a blood test and the doctors were unable to find any traces of cancer in his body!
