God is All-knowing: ‘Look up’

• Our Sun is a Star• Our Galaxy is called

the Milky Way• About 400 billion stars

in the our Galaxy• About 80 billion

Galaxies in the observable Universe

God is All-knowing: ‘Look up’

Lift your eyes and look to the heavens:

Who created all these?

He who brings out the starry host one by one,

and calls them each by name.

Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing.

How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!

How vast is the sum of them!

Were I to count them,

they would outnumber the grains of sand.

50 & 100 billion neurons in our brains

For you created my inmost being;

you knit me together in my mother’s womb.

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

You hem me in – behind and before; you have laid your hand upon me.Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.
