H.E. Behar BejkoAmbassador Albanian Embassy, United Arab EmiratesH.E BEHAR BEJKO, was born on the 5th of January .1961 in Fieri-Albania. He has completed his Arab Language and literature in 1985 from Algerian and then went on to complete Albanian Language and Literature in the year 1991 from the Tirana University in Albania, followed by a Masters in Diplomacy and International Relations from Zayed University, UAE. He as been the Chief of programs in Arabic language dedicated to the Middle East for Albania RTV from 1986-1995 further on moving to MOFA-ALBANIA from 1995- 1998, He then took on the Chairmanship-Minister of State`s Committee for Religious Affairs- Council of Ministers-Republic of Albania from 1999-2004.In the year 2005 he joined MOFA of Albania- Middle East Departmentuntill 2009.He currently Serves as the Ambassador of Albania in Abu Dhabi-UAE.He is Proficient in Arabic, Frence, As well as English and Italian.

Andy Biffen, Hidd Power Company, Bahrain Executive Managing DirectorAndy has 28 years experience with the development, acquisition and operation of power generating facilities. During his career, he has focussed mainly on International IPPs and IWPPs in regions including; Asia, Australia, USA, Europe and UAE. Andy studied Energy Technology at Aston University, UK and started his career with the Central Electricity Generating Board (UK Power Utility). Since then, he has worked for National Power plc, International Power plc, Innogy plc and ReEnergy Group plc. Andy joined Sumitomo Corporation in 2008 and is currently the Executive Managing Director (EMD) of Hidd Power Company, located in the Kingdom of Bahrain. (Sumitomo Corporation has held a 30% investment in Hidd Power Company since acquisition in 2006). As EMD of Hidd Power Company, Andy’s responsibilities include:• Ensuring that the Hidd facility it is operated safely and in line with best

international practice and procedures• RepresentationoftheHPCshareholders• DaytodaymanagementofHPCasperthe“ProjectAgreements”,“BusinessPlan”andotherboarddirectives

Ivano Iannelli, Dubai Carbon Centre of Excellence Chief Executive OfficerIvano is widely acknowledged as one of the world’s foremost experts in the fields of Sustainability and Carbon Emissions Management. His particular skillset is the establishment of Public Private Partnerships, where he leverages public incentives and thematic areas to generate private sector involvement and synergy. Amongst the several, the Dubai Carbon Centre of Excellence, under the Supreme Energy Council, leverages the revenue stream from Carbon credits to improve the business efficiency and environmental performance of companies and organizations. As Senior Management of the United Nations and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, his career has taken him across the globe, and he has managed important projects under highly challenging circumstances, in countries such as Afghanistan, Sudan and Mozambique. He has frequently provided a vital interface between governments, NGO’s and the private sector. As Chief of Projects for UNOPS, he was instrumental in the establishment of the Dubai Humanitarian City hub and was at the forefront of all emergency and relief operations of the UN in the region. Ivano has worked in numerous high profile projects in renewable energy, waste management and defence industries. His most recent notable achievements include the Yas Island Integrated Waste Management Plan and the Energy from Waste Heat project in Ras Al Khaimah. As a development economist, he specializes in the integration of international financial incentives and PPP models into the project development phase with a particular focus on the carbon layer, green energy and sustainable commercial initiatives, thus increasing the profitability of socio-environmental projects. Ivano is highly proficient in measuring performance, using the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) framework, and regularly incorporates the tried and tested methods of Balanced Scorecard and PRINCE2 into his projects.

Ivano holds a Bachelor Degree in International Relations from University of Memphis (USA), a Masters Degree in International Management from University of Cambridge (UK); in addition to a MBA with a specialization in Aviation Management from University of Coventry (UK). Ivano has more than 15 years of extensive business experience in different regions.
