10 Tips in 10 Minutes

December 1st, 2015

It is a global movement for giving that happens each year after Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

It’s a time when Canadians, charities and businesses come together to celebrate giving and participate in activities that support charities and non-profits.

There is no “right” way to participate as long as it supports generosity and giving. Donate, volunteer time, help a neighbour, or spread the word.

GivingTuesday Canada was founded in 2013 by the GIV3 Foundation and CanadaHelps.

10 Tips in 10 Minutes

December 1st, 2015

Plan an ActivityPlan something tangible. This will prove more effective than asking your supporters to donate to your cause just “because it’s GivingTuesday”. Some ideas:

◆ Find a matching donation partner◆ Hold an open house◆ Team up with a local business for a volunteer event ◆ Launch a petition◆ Create a Thank You campaign for your supporters

Don’t forget to let us know about it! Update your profile on GivingTuesday.ca to let Canadians know about your GivingTuesday plans.

Tip: Your activity can be SMART too!
