Over a period of more than 50 years, Bennett studied and explored Buddhism, linguistics, Yoga, Sufism, Christian mysticism, Subud, mathematics, classical and modern physics, and combined all of these with the teachings he received from Gurdjieff and Ouspensky. Bennett accepted the mission given to him by Gurdjieff to spread awareness of the Work as widely and completely as possible.
This experiential workshop will begin with an overview of Bennett’s work, his cosmology, psychology and theology, and his work from the death of Gurdjieff in 1949 until the end of his own life in 1974. This is followed by a practical presentation of some of Bennett’s methods and techniques, and Gurdjieff’s movements. We’ll discuss the techniques developed by Bennett and his colleagues now known as Systematics. There will be an opportunity to dialogue with the presenters with the aim by the end of the session each participant will have a clear sense of the next stage in their personal transformation.
Ben and George Bennett were both students at their father’s International Academy for Continuous Education, Cindy Bennett was a student and staff member at Bennett’s Claymont Court project in West Virginia, and worked with various other forth way teachers, Ana Bennett was a long-time student of Bennett’s follower Carolyn Shaffer. Ben and Cindy convened The Dramatic Universe Conference in 2011, and George has conducted a number of residential courses and seminars in England and the US.
