3. Gateways

3.1 TrunkIn order to interact with a SIP gateway, a trunk must be defined on GCE. This trunk has to be declared in System Parameter Configuration / Trunks. Create a new trunk with correct profile depending on gateway. Once created fill in the contact field, full syntax is [sip:][number@]host[:port][;transport={tcp/udp}]. However, only host is mandatory ; consequently in most cases it can be filled in as follow:

• for OXE SIP gateway:contact=<ip address of Call server>

• for OXO SIP gateway: contact=<ip address of VoIP board>

• for AudioCodes Median 1000 SIP gateway: contact =<ip address of device>Configuration example for OXE:

3.2 Visual CC - Voice guideSip guides can be created in Visual CC. The audio source must be a wave file, with encoding PCM, aLAW or μLAW (whatever sample rate, number of bit in a block, mono/stereo)Wave file specification : IBM / Microsoft August 1991 Multimedia Programming Interface and Data Specifications 1.0Visual CC applies conversions to store guides in 8kHz, 8bits, mono with 4 encodings (pcmu, pcma, gsm, msgsm)

In visual CC :Under /configuration /Voice guide, create a new voice guide and map it with :

– A personal file audio wave save in a folder

– a standard or generic wave file available in the GCE DVD folder ““<deliverypath>\Utilities\Announcements”

After create the voice guide, give a name description for it.

3.3 SIP phone set

Remarks : it’s mandatory to respect the case between the Mac-address phone set in GCE management and the name file created, for the SIP phone set, under the folder GCTI/Tomcat6/Webapps/OXE

3.4 Public ISDN Here after is described how to emulate a Public ISDN network by OXE.

In those chapters, the parameters to change are highlighted with following legend:_____ network number,_____ external SIP Gateway,_____ trunk group number,_____ fixed (in current context),_____ depends on customer IP adresses,_____ depends on customer dialing plan, (in the following example, calls made with number start by 7 with 5 digits length are routed to CGE SIP solution. Consequently, services declared in Visual CC must follows this dialing plan, optionally phone sets can also follow this rule in order to be reached by OXE.

3.7.1 Hardware

AudioCodes Median 100 when used as a gateway ISDN to SIP only contains two modules: A CPU with 2 RJ45 network connectors and Trunk module with 1 RJ45 T2 connector.

3.7.2 Change IP address

The default IP address is 10.1.10.10; in order to change the IP address, connect a PC on a network connector (change network configuration of PC to a static IP address for example 10.1.10.20).

Open a browser and connect on default IP address. User/Password are Admin/Admin. Those can be changed (Configuration/Security Settings/WEB user accounts).

Once IP address, Subnet mask and default gateway address set, then Apply. Device has to be restarted:

Now connect with new address, over network.

3.7.3 Configure ISDN trunkChange protocol type to “E1 EURO ISDN” (it may depends on customer country)
