Criteria for Promotion to Sec 5

Sec 4 NA students can be promoted to Sec 5N if they satisfy the following criteria:

ELMAB3 ≤19, with at least N(A)-level grade 5 for all subjects in

computing ELMAB3

The use of combined results is allowed for the purpose of computing the aggregate score for promotion to Sec 5N. However, students can only combine the results of 2 consecutive GCE ‘N’ Level Examination.

ITE DES-to-Poly Programme (DPP)

For N(A) students who are fairly strong academically ELMAB3 ≤ 19 points

Suitable for students whose learning styles are more application-based and hands-on

Advantage of choosing DPP over Sec 5NDirect entry to Higher Nitec, which is otherwise only available for O-level holdersStudents assured of 1st or 2nd year place in related poly Diploma course, if they attain qualifying GPA scores

Criteria for Poly Foundation Programme (PFP)

For N(A) students who are academically strong and clearly polytechnic bound

ELMAB3 ≤11, with a minimum grade of 3 for EL and MA

Only for 4NA students, not for Sec 4 Exp and 5NA students

Can CCA points be used to compute ELMAB3?

You must achieve the minimum criteria of ELMAB3 ≤ 19 before CCA bonus points can be factored into ELMAB3 aggregate for selection and posting.

How do I apply for the PFP/DPP? 

Eligible students will receive a form with a PIN upon release of N-level results

They should use PIN to log on to PFP/DPP website to create an account

A password will then be emailed to them for online application for PFP/DPP PFP: application phase from 17 Dec – 19 Dec 12 (4

pm) DPP: application phase from 17 Dec – 20 Dec 12

(5pm)

Release of application outcome by SMS/email on 24 Dec 12 (9 am)

How do I apply for the PFP/DPP?
