and storing digital presentations• Allows for both a linear and free-flowing

presentation of a story line• Users must subscribe to Prezi in order to gain access

to the app• The web-based interface allows users to access

presentations on any computer with a high-speed connection

• Presentations can be shared, which allows multiple people to collaborate on a single presentation

called the “canvas”• Topics and main ideas are added to the canvas• Story line is created by arranging the elements on the

canvas• Tools are used to connect the presenter’s message• Can integrate text, images, animation, audio, and

Prezi – How To Guide• Navigate the canvas• Getting around your prezi canvas couldn’t be easier.• Zooming around: You can zoom in and out by using your mouse’s scroll wheel or by clicking the + and - symbols on the right hand side of your screen.

• Panning: To move your prezi canvas left, right, up, or down, hold down the left button of your mouse and then move in the direction you want to go.

Prezi – How To Guide• Get to know the Transformation Tool• Once you add anything to your canvas, click on it once to bring up the Transformation Tool. Now you can move, size, and rotate your content any way you like. Just click on the prezi frame once to bring up the Tool and move, scale, or rotate everything inside.

• Start from a template• When you create a prezi, you can choose from a number of reusable templates or a blank canvas.

Prezi – How To Guide• Customize colors and fonts: Theme Wizard• Use the Theme Wizard to customize the colors of your prezi and to set your font choices from Prezi's font library.

• Frame your content• Frames are a signature part of Prezi and a great way to manage your content. Frames work like slides and can be used to group your ideas.

Prezi – How To Guide• Insert diagrams• Quickly add content to your drawings, and duplicate them (using the right-click menu or keyboard shortcuts) to start filling your prezi with inspiring content.

• Add symbols and shapes • Click 'Insert' and then select the ‘Symbols and shapes’ icon at the top of the screen to add shapes, lines, arrows, and more to your prezi.

any size.• Zooming & panning allows the user to

focus on different elements.• Prezi’s are stored in the cloud.• Prezi’s allow for collaboration• You can insert rich media like YouTube.• User can work on & access their

presentations online.

Cons for Using PREZI• Software loading issues.• Does not offer live Tech Support.• Can be frustrating to move around the

canvas.• You need internet access to use it.• Cannot create active links.• There is no image editing features.• Some people don’t like the zooming.

Tips and Best Practices• If you turn on the shortcut key you may access more navigation and production tools.• It is a good idea to design images with similar shapes and sizes.• If you zoom all the way out and use a clockwise motion it will decrease motion sickness.• Also, use zoom sparingly.• It is possible to shape your presentation into letters.• Prezi.com has many examples of presentations.

Tips and Best Practices• There is a new features log on the Prezi site which is gives updates on changes and improvements made to Prezi.• Press M to hide menu if typing and talking •Make things tiny to add detail and create surprise.• PPT can be imported to Prezi.• It is a good idea to use an invisible frame around rotating text.• Handouts can be printed from Prezi.
