GAS DETECTION SYSTEMS FOR APARTMENT BUILDINGSSeitron suggests two different kinds of gas detection systems for apartment buildings.

The first system takes advantage of the Segugio Wireless, a detector which transmits the signal, at the frequency of 868 MHz, to a receiver installed in any single apartment or on the floor hallways, outside the apartments.The second system takes advantage of gas detector type Beagle, which in case of gas leakage transmits the alarm signal through wire to a concentrator placed on the floor.The concentrator can receive up to 8 alarms and via Mod bus transmits them to a control unit placed on the ground floor.

WIRELESS GAS DETECTION SYSTEMThe DR G02M receiver can collect the alarm signal from up to a maximum of 100 Segugio Wireless detectors, each one installed in a different apartment. Once a gas leak is detected by an installed Segugio, the receiver will shut off a solenoid valve which cuts off the gas flow. Since the dimension of the system plant depends both on the materials used in the building (amount of iron and concrete), and the distance (max 50m) which separates the detector and receiver, we advise as a safety standard to install one receiver every two floors. In any case it is available on the display an icon showing the strength of the signal; this feature is very useful for a correct placement of both the detector and the receiver and to decide how many detectors can be associated to one receiver.The receiver, thanks to the combination of the 2 buttons on the front and to the 3 digits OLED display, allows to set and/or visualize the following functions:

RADIO TRANSMISSION- Strength of the received radio signal- Analysis of the received commands- Warning in case of bad reception - Possibility to display the alarms or faults in a specific apartment

ADDRESSES- Possibility to associate a 3 digit address to each detector/transmitter to identify both the floor of the building and the number of the apartment- Possibility to erase a saved address/detector

DIAGNOSTIC- Display of the channels (apartments) in which an alarm or a fault has occurred; this latter data is stored in memory even in case of a power failure- Possibility to verify the most common causes of receiver malfunction

WIRELESS ENABLED GAS LEAKAGE DETECTOR METHANE or LPGVersion of SEGUGIO plus METANO/GPL equipped with a wireless radio transmitter. Microcontroller based domestic methane gas detector with output for both 230V~ and 12V~/= cut-off valves. Mute and test functions. Precalibrated sensor, directly replaceable by user. Compliance with CEI-EN 50194-1 certifies the absolute reliability and efficiency of the device. The wireless transmitter module allows to transmit “failure” and “alarm” states to the receiver for gas alarm DR G02M.

SEGUGIO WIRELESS

GAS ALARM RECEIVERThis device is a receiver featuring an OLED display and designed to switch on loads (more precisely solenoid valves and/or acoustic warning devices) in gas detection radio systems for homes.

The receiver can be associated to up to 100 wireless gas detectors and features two relays: one alarm relay and one fault relay. This system is an optimal solution for buildings in which wires cannot be laid between the gas detector and the actuators to be controlled.

Operating on a frequency of 868,150 MHz (LPD) provides the user with all the advantages of this bandwidth, such as a greater insulation from interferences and a greater efficiency in the transmission of the signal.

RESIDENTIAL GAS SECURITY SYSTEM

WIRED GAS DETECTION SYSTEMThis system uses the Beagle or Segugio wired gas detectors.The gas detectors installed in each apartment are connected to one or more concentrators positioned on each floor. Every concentrator can receive up to a maximum of 8 different alarm and can be connected to the next concentrator with Modbus® protocol (2 wires). Each concentrator transmits the alarms received by any single apartment to the control unit (RY B01M) normally placed in a maintenance room on the ground floor.The control unit can manage 32 concentrators for a total of 256 apartments. The control unit can drive 4 different solenoid cut-off valves each associated with an area of up to 8 concentrators. A relay is connected to each area and in case of an alarm, it shuts the relevant solenoid valve associated to that specific area (each zone could cover a stair case of the building). On the display of the control unit it is possible to visualize:- Gas leak alarm- Fault- Voltage lack

For each of this events it is possible to identify the detector that has generated the alarm (i.e. the number of the apartment), the concentrator to which it is connected, time and date in which the event has been generated.
