DESCRIPTION
"How to create a Wordpress blog" is the step-by-step report of a live blogging session I did at the University of Naples UNISOB http://www.unisob.na.it for the Master of Gambero Rosso http://gamberorosso.it. During the class the students proposed some blogging themes, we picked one, and I went from scratch through all steps of the blogging process, from strategy and keyword/competitive analysis to tech implementation, optimization and publishing. The result is the blog (with a free template, no customized CSS) http://www.cucinasensuale.it. The students had two weeks to create their own blog on the topics they proposed. The second full day class at the master will be a site clinic analyzing the students' blogging efforts. Cool format, my idea. the students loved it. Live blogging session at a university Master classThis presentation is the step-by-step report of a live blogging session I did at the University of Naples UNISOB www.unisob.na.it for the Master of Gambero Rosso www.gamberorosso.it.
During the class the students proposed some food blogging themes, we picked one, and I went from scratch through all steps of the blogging process, from strategy and keyword/competitive analysis to tech implementation, optimization and publishing. The result is the blog (built with a free template, no customized CSS) www.cucinasensuale.it.
The students had two weeks to create their own blog on the topics they proposed. The second full day class at the master is a site clinic where the students' blogging efforts will be assessed. Cool “homework” format for a workshop, my idea. The students loved it.

Durante la prima giornata di lezione gli studenti hanno proposto dei temi per blog enogastronomici, ne abbiamo sorteggiato uno, ed io ho realizzato da zero tutti gli step del processo di blogging, da quelli strategici e di keyword/competitive analysis fino all’implementazione, ottimizzazione e publishing. Il risultato è il blog (costruito con un free template, senza customizzazione dei CSS) www.cucinasensuale.it.
Gli studenti hanno avuto due settimane di tempo per realizzare il loro blog sui temi individualmente proposti. La seconda giornata di lezione è dedicata ad una “site clinic session” per analizzare i risultati delle attività di blogging degli studenti. Nuovo formato workshop con “compiti a casa”, da una mia idea idea. Agli studenti è piaciuto.

wordpress set-up• start an account at Wordpress.com • download latest WordPress version (zip)• unzip WP on your desktop• change parameters of wp-config-sample.php file (see next slide)• rename the wp-config-sample.php file as wp-config.php• use an FTP tool to upload all file on server for the new domain• digit the blog’s URL in a browser• follow the “5-minute WP installation” instructions• login to your blog
