Robinson Hambro specialises in Board Search and Chairman

Counsel. The firm advised on the drafting of the Voluntary Code

of Conduct for search firms, part of the Davies report on gender

diversity, and is committed to putting more women on boards. The

candidate will preferably be 18 years or older, either in a gap year

or at university, with an interest in the City and in the promotion of

female talent. Robinson Hambro is Spanish speaking and well-

David Roberts Travels in the

Holy Land, Watercolours from

a Private Collection by

Gabriel Naughton.

Richard Colson started painting at Oundle School and studied for

undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at Goldsmiths’ College and

was awarded a 1st Class Degree in Fine Art. He was awarded the

Daler Rowney Prize at the London Group exhibition at the Barbican in

1992. He is well represented in important collections such as the

House of Commons, the House of Lords and Royal Dutch Shell. Over

the years, he has gained access to many different buildings in London

searching for particular views of the city he loves. He was artist in

residence at the Savoy Hotel and was given permission to work on the

roof of this landmark hotel as well as on the roof of Somerset House.

Each of these locations has its own commanding view of the Thames

and the city. These paintings of London have been his main focus for

years. He has recently developed a keen interest in painting figures

performing sports such as fencing and cycling. He has the ability to

capture accurately the movement, the energy and the speed of the

successful athletes as this painting demonstrates. Donated by Mrs Ines

A 3 hour Masterclass for two adults with Roger Dellar learning the

secrets of painting in oils, watercolours or pastels. Roger Dellar

was born in 1949 in St. Albans, Hertfordshire. He is a professional

figurative artist. He works in oils, watercolours, pastels, and acrylics.

He was elected to the Royal Institute of Painters in Oils in 2006. He

has also been a member of the Royal Institute of Painters in Water

Colours since 2001 and was elected to the council of the RI in

2002. In 2003, he became a member of the Pastel Society, winning

a number of awards for his pastel work in recent years. He is also an

active member of The Wapping Group. He likes to paint people in

their environment: chefs in kitchens, dancers in their studio, musicians

with their orchestra, the social calendar with Ascot and Henley. He is

also sought after for his London scenes and his seascapes. Donated

Dmitri Hvorostovsky is a true heavyweight of the operatic scene

whose song recitals are shaped first and foremost by his remarkable

ability to sculpt a meaningful evening of music from a selection

of seemingly unrelated songs. Here the man who so often makes

a performance from a single singer and pianist into a concert

of uncanny grandeur sings music by some of the greatest song

composers from his native Russia. Includes a signed programme and

CD. Donated by Mr and Mrs Peganov.

Gabriel Cappelli was born in Forli, Italy in 1972. He was inspired to

paint from a young age through spending time at his grandfather’s art

studio in Rome and, through him and his fellow artists he inherited

a passion for abstract art. After travelling the world, he settled in

London where he now lives and works. His artwork is currently

exhibited in the Cadogan Contemporary, next door to Christie’s on

Old Brompton Road. Donated by Mr Cappelli and Mrs Lyons.
