Thread yarn through sts, then with the RS facing sew together the seam and secure. Weave in all loose ends. Hand wash and reshape while wet.

Kirstie McLeod, has designed a hat that uses an openwork cable, so it’s lighter and cooler to wear than a solid stitch. “It may be too warm for a sunny day,” Kirstie says, “but on cooler days and in the evenings it should be comfortable.” If you’re planning a family camping holiday, one of these should definitely be in your luggage!
