Welcome to the fourth round of the 2011 Australian FX Superbikes Championship at Wakefield park that

is sponsored by our long time sponsor YMF Loan Finance, YMI and Yamaha.

Over this weekend you will see road racing history being made and a number of Australian road racing

champions being taken on by a new bunch of up and coming riders eager to steal the #1 Plate.

As per normal at our events there is two full days of action packed racing with the FX National series

being run on Saturday and the Australian X Superbike Championship being run on Sunday. You will wit-

ness sixteen races each day with racing starting at approximately 10:30am and finishing at approxi-

mately 4:00pm. There is also a Sunday lunch time Pit Lane walk for spectators so everyone can check

out the FX Superbike race machines and meet the stars who race these amazing bikes.

Five very diverse and entertaining classes will provide all the on track action, ranging from the scream-

ing hardcore FX125GP 2-stroke Grand Prix Bikes to the thundering FX Pro-Thunder class where you will

not only see the bikes but feel them as a grid of booming V-twins, Triples and V-fours thunder their way

around the Grand Prix circuit. Add to the on track entertainment the high revving and very fast FX600

Supersport based machines which attracts many of the young up and coming stars of tomorrow and the

packed ‘Race what you brung’ Formula Oz class that provides close, fast and excellent racing with a

field of Superbikes, Formula 1 machines and 250GP bikes all competing to see who has the quickest and

baddest race machines in the country with a fantastic grid of riders.

Then of course there is the premier class of the 2011 FX Superbike Championship for the 1000cc bikes

which will showcase some of the best racers on the fastest bikes in the country as they go head to head

to see who is the ‘King of Xtreme’ for 2011. The FX Superbike machines pitch 1000 cc four cylinder ma-

chines against the very popular 1200 cc booming V-Twins and the racing is always frantic and intense.

Six times King of Xtreme and twice runner up in the World Supersport Championship Kev Curtain on the

factory Yamaha Team will stake his and Yamaha’s pride against the all new and conquering in the speed

stakes BMW S 1000 R mega bike being piloted by one of the country’s best up and coming riders in

Brayden Carr. With a strong field in the FX Superbike class there will be plenty of challengers wanting

to win this final round of the inaugural Australian FX1000 Championship.
