• The Matching Grant Program was established in 1965

• From 1965 to 2000 (35 years) only 10,000 Matching Grants were awarded

• From 2000 to 2010 (10 years) another 10,000 Matching Grants were awarded

• The model is unsustainable

What is a District Grant

• Projects that don’t qualify for Global Grants• Can be local or international• Requires a partner – does not have to be a

Rotarian partner• Must be in one of the six areas of focus• Sustainability is strongly encouraged• Administered by the District • Matching is $0.50 to $1.00

Management Training Seminar per year (October 13, 2012)
