St Luke’s College Foundation St Luke’s Chaplain & Vocations Development Officer Thank you for your interest in the posts of Vocations Development Officer for the Diocese of Exeter and St Luke’s Chaplain at the University of Exeter. Though there are two posts and two employers, we are working closely together and we envisage that one person will be appointed. We are excited at this opportunity as we see synergy between the two posts and the potential for the excellent facilities at St Luke’s Chapel to be used to support vocational work. The Diocese of Exeter has seen significant growth in vocations to ordained ministry and to reader ministry in recent years. We now wish to take this further and to seek an increase in the number of younger vocations whilst still encouraging vocations across age groups. St Luke’s campus of the University of Exeter is the home of the medical school as well as the base for teacher training and sports science. For directions and a map see http://www.exeter.ac.uk/visit/directions/stlukes/ . It is no longer a residential campus but there are significant opportunities for interaction with staff and students as well as the opportunity to work as part of the Anglican Chaplaincy Team and the Multifaith Chaplaincy Team at the main university (Streatham) campus.
