Instructions on how to register for the ATI TEAS Exam:

1. Visit atiteasprep.com. This site is the official site for all TEAS prep resources, registering for the TEAS, TEAS Online Practice Test, TEAS Study Manual Information, and FAQs.

2. Applicants must first create an ATI account by going to atitesting.com, clicking on “Create an Account,” and following the prompts. Please record your ATI pin and username as you will need to bring both with you to the testing site.

3. This exam can be taken at La Salle University or another testing site offering the exam (starting summer 2017). For a fee, an official transcript of scores from other testing sites may be sent to La Salle University School of Nursing and Health Sciences through atiteasprep.com.

4. Students must meet the standardized benchmark on the TEAS exam.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTSFOR ADMISSION CONSIDERATION

• Students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better and a science GPA of 3.0 or better.

• Students are permitted to repeat one science course one time in order to obtain the required 3.0 science GPA.

• Students must complete all science prerequisite courses by the end of the spring semester prior to their intended fall start date. Students will be permitted to take summer classes in an attempt to complete their liberal arts/core requirements, but no science class can be completed in the summer.

• Students who wish to enter our full-time day program must be enrolled full time (12 credits or more each semester) at their current institution for a minimum of one full year (two semesters).

• Students are required to submit official transcripts after each semester in which additional coursework was earned. It is the students’ responsibility to make sure that La Salle has their most recent and updated transcripts before starting classes. All final transcripts MUST be received before attending La Salle. Failure to comply will result in a hold on all future registration at La Salle.

• Required Clearances: Criminal Background Check, Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Fingerprinting, and Drug Testing are required annually of all matriculated student nurses. The School of Nursing and Health Sciences utilizes CastleBranch to facilitate completion of these requirements. Students must enroll in CastleBranch when accepted into the Nursing major. Healthcare and educational facilities require a cleared child abuse and a cleared criminal background check from Pennsylvania and the student’s state of residence (if outside of Pennsylvania). On occasion, students may be required to complete additional clearances depending upon healthcare agency guidelines. Any student with a positive child abuse or criminal record check will not be permitted to enter or remain in the Nursing major.
