Job Description and Essential Duties

• Full-time 1.0 Mathematics –Geometry teacher

• Full-time teacher for Mathematics - Geometry (FTE 1.0) • Employ responsive educational strategies and techniques during instruction to improve the development of essential math concepts following state of Oregon standards • Provide an academically rigorous curriculum that aligns with math department curriculum/ content maps • Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time that provides students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate • Possess the ability to differentiate instruction to students with accommodations and or modifications according to individual education plans • Plan and facilitate student-centered learning to support and enhance classroom curriculum • Maintain accurate student grades, records and/or portfolios • Provide input and support grade level teams as it pertains to monitoring student progress using formative and summative assessments • Collaborate with Department members to prepare lesson plans, outlines and/or syllabi • Participate in professional learning teams and school-wide professional development initiatives • Build and maintain positive relationships with students and staff. Communicate effectively and consistently with parents and colleagues

Skills and Abilities

Hold Oregon Teaching Certificate in Mathematics

Education and Experience

Preferred Masters in Education-with Mathematics Endorsements Experience teaching all levels of high school Mathematics At least three years of relevant experience preferred Citizenship, residency or Work Visa in United States required
