kitchen cabinets. We hope you enjoy your kitchen for many years to come. Here are a few things you can do to keep your

cabinets looking fresh and maintain their appearance.

The cabinets should be dusted and/or vacuumed regularly to remove any dust particles that have accumulated. When

dusting, please use a lint-free cloth dampened with warm water or a small mix of soap, following the grain of the wood, if

applicable. Any residues caused from cooking oils or smoke should be wiped up with a damp cloth and a small amount of

furniture cleaner. Dry surfaces immediately with a soft cloth.

Wipe up spills, splatters, and water spots as they occur immediately, keeping the cabinets dry.

THINGS TO AVOID IN THE CARE OF YOUR CABINETS

Avoid using a dish cloth or sponge. It could contain remnants of grease or detergents.

Do not use products with bleach, ammonia, or abrasive additives like petroleum solvents.

Never use scouring pads, steel wool, or powdered cleaners.

Do not allow oven cleaners to come in contact with wood surfaces. Avoid using solvent or petroleum based products

such as nail polish removers or paint thinners.

Avoid using wax on your cabinets. Wax can build up over time and create a different appearance.

Avoid placing small kitchen appliances where heat is directed onto cabinet surfaces.

Avoid draping damp cloths or dish towels over cabinet doors - excessive moisture can cause permanent damage.

LIMITED 1-YEAR WARRANTY

Cosmo Cabinets, Inc. warrants its “covered products” to the original consumer purchaser to be free from all defects in workmanship and material under normal use for a period of one year from the original date of purchase. “Covered products” includes cabinet boxes, doors, drawers, shelves, and accessories that are manufactured by Cosmo Cabinets, Inc. Any accessories or other products sold with or as a part of any “covered product” that were not manufactured by Cosmo Cabinets, Inc. are excluded from the definition of “covered products” and coverage by this limited warranty.

WARRANTY LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS

This warranty does not cover misuse, abuse, improper storage, neglect, acts of God, exposure to moisture, exposure to extreme temperatures, or improper installation. Additionally, this warranty does not cover wear or deterioration that results from natural aging, including expansion and contraction. Any incidental, consequential, or oåther damages of any kind or nature are also excluded. This warranty does not cover discoloration such as lightening or darkening due to light exposure, natural or artificial. Age, lighting, and exposure to the elements all have an expected and natural effect on wood and are not considered to be manufacturer’s defects that are covered by this warranty.

Painted finishes have unique characteristics that differ from standard wood finishes. Wood of all species is subject to the humidity and temperature of its environment and may expand or contract due to changes in weather, temperature, or climate. Due to these normal shifts in the environment, painted wood cabinetry may develop hairline cracks, peeling, or separation of seam lines. On select hardwoods and veneers, joints, seams, and some natural characteristics of the wood (including, but not limited to, grain patterns, knots, and mineral streaks) will remain visible through painted finishes. As painted cabinet products age, the finish may mellow or discolor slightly. The degree of change to the original finish color is affected by the products’ exposure to natural and artificial light. These normal variations are not considered quality defects and are not covered by this warranty.

This warranty does not include any expenses incurred in removal, shipment, or reinstallation of the “covered products”. Cosmo Cabinets, Inc. will not assume or authorize anyone to assume for us, any liability in connection with the sale of Cosmo’s products. This warranty shall not apply in storage situations where loading exceeds the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association testing and certification standards. In addition, this warranty shall not apply to any products used or installed in conjunction with Cosmo Cabinets such as plumbing fixtures, countertops, or appliances.

Cosmo Cabinets, Inc. reserves the right to change design, specifications, and materials as conditions require when improvements are developed. The manufacturer has no obligations to incorporate such changes in products previously manufactured.

WARRANTY PERFORMANCE

In the event of a manufacturing defect within the terms and conditions set forth herein, Cosmo Cabinets, Inc., at their discretion, will either replace or repair the defective product. Replacement parts may not match your existing cabinetry due to changes in the finish and wood over time. If the affected product is no longer available, Cosmo Cabinets reserves the right to (i) replace the affected component with a new component of the same style, or (ii) replace the affected component and any other component within the total product to achieve a uniform appearance with a similar and comparable product style and quality as the original product. Repaired or replaced product shall be warranted for a period equal to the remainder of the original Limited Warranty on the original product or for ninety days, whichever is longer.

WARRANTY DISCLAIMER

THIS LIMITED WARRANTY SETS OUT THE FULL EXTENT OF COSMO CABINETS’S RESPONSIBILITIES, AND THE EXCLUSIVE REMEDY REGARDING THE PRODUCTS. ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. IN NO EVENT SHALL COSMO CABINETS BE LIABLE FOR DAMAGES IN EXCESS OF THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE PRODUCT OR FOR, WITHOUT LIMITATION, COMMERCIAL LOSS OF ANY SORT; LOSS OF USE, TIME, DATA, REPUTATION, OPPORTUNITY, GOODWILL, PROFITS OR SAVINGS; INCONVENIENCE; INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES; OR DAMAGES ARISING FROM THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE PRODUCT. ALL DISPUTES WITH COSMO CABINETS ARISING IN ANY WAY FROM THIS LIMITED WARRANTY OR THE SALE, CONDITION OR PERFORMANCE OF THE PRODUCTS SHALL BE RESOLVED EXCLUSIVELY THROUGH FINAL AND BINDING ARBITRATION, AND NOT BY A COURT OR JURY.

All claims must be submitted in writing under this warranty with the original proof of purchase or a copy must be provided. To initiate a claim for defective cabinets and accessories contact your builder, dealer, distributor or contractor who installed and sold the product.
