Dulles State Office Building, Taste of the Town is a fundraiser for Victims Assistance Center of Jefferson County

with all proceeds to benefit services to victims of violence and crime in Jefferson County.

Symphony Syracuse will present an all-Mozart concert at 8 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, 227 Sherman St.

The concert will open with Mozart's popular “Eine Kleine Nachtmusik” (A Little Night Music) and will conclude

with his Symphony No. 40. Daniel Hege will conduct. Tickets are $20 general admission, $17 for seniors and

military, and $10 for students. Tickets are available in advance of the concert at the Greater Watertown Chamber of

Commerce, 1241 Coffeen St., and at the door on the evening of the performance. The concert is sponsored by the

Northern New York Community Foundation.

Event Description: Now celebrating its 62nd anniversary season, National Players brings to life “Of Mice and

Men,” a classic tale by Nobel Prize-winning author John Steinbeck. This tragic and endearing story follows the

mismatched friendship of two displaced migrant ranch workers, George Milton and Lennie Small, in California

during the Great Depression.

The 51st Rushton Memorial Canoe Race is set for Friday May 4 to Sunday May 6. The weekend, hosted by St.

Lawrence Valley Paddlers, will include competitive and recreational canoe races on the Grasse River. Festivities

will be going on throughout the Village, with restaurant specials, music and exhibits. Event coordinator Chuck

Bolesh notes that the traditional race from Pyrites to Canton Island Park was so successful when it was reinstituted
