LOGO AND CLIENT DESCRIPTION

North Peak is a self-serve frozen yogurt shop located in the Green Mountains in Vermont. Their inspiring environment allows customers to create their own unique yogrut recipe. North Peak’s frozen yogurt is made with only fresh ingredients with no preservatives, additives, artificial sweeteners or high fruit corn syrup. The company gets many of it’s ingredients from independently owned, Vermont's small businesses, such Hidden Springs Maply Syrup, Charlotte Berry Farm, Lake Champlain Chocoloates and Booth Brothers Dairy. It is important to the company that customers know where their ingredients come from. The Company promotes a healthy lifestyle and provides an alternative to junk food. To make a difference in reducing obesity, the company donates 1% of their product sales to the Mollen Foundation. The goal of the Mollen Foundation is to promote a healthy lifestyle in children that includes fitness, nutrition, and self-esteem through exercise programs and nutritional education.

Mission Statement: “Provide customers with the most delicious, healthy frozen yogurt they have ever tasted using only the highest-quality dairy products.”

DESIGN STRATEGY

The site should be reministent of frozen yogurt itself; cool, fresh, with a wintery vibe to it.

North Peak Visitors will be able to learn about the company’s newest yogurt flavors.Vistors with be able to help support the Mollen Foundation by donating money directly from their website. Users can also purchase North Peak gift cards, to beused for holiday and birthday gifts for their friend, and family.

Information about our the company, as well as directions and promotions, are also available. Visitors will be able to read about the latest company’s news and what other customers are saying in the Company’s Twitter feed.

In regards to type, black and white are the two main colors for the website. All of the website’s headers are written in blue, while the navigation buttons are white on a blue background. The website avoids the typical boring dark green and brown colors that are often used to promote healthy food. The main theme colors for the website are dark blue, light blue, white, and black. The company’s logo, North Peak, incorporates a winter mountain peak with in the text. The color schemes are relaxing to the eye and provide a wintery feel.

The most frequent visitors to the site will be teens and tweens, along with their parents, looking for a fun place to hang out and enjoy a healthy snack. It will be a popular site for teens and their parents to purchase gift cards to give to their friends.

When the store initially opens there will be many people using the site to find the location and directions to the new store. Parents will be using the website to look at our product ingredients and nutritional values. They will want to make sure our product only uses fresh ingredients with no preservatives, additives, or high fructose corn syrup.
