CUTTING INSTRUCTIONS: Please read all instructions carefully before beginning. All seams are a scant ¼” which is included in all measurements unless otherwise stated. Cut pieces in order listed. Label all pieces. Refer to all illustrations and the quilt image for proper cutting and assembly. wof = width of fabric, lof =length of fabric.  A. Pattern #22882-blu1 (Frosty panel)

1. Fussy cut panel 24 1/2" x 17 1/2". Label “center”.

B. Pattern #22883-blu1 (Frosty patch print) 1. Fussy cut three different patches

4 1/2” x 4 1/2”. Label “G”. C. Pattern #22886-ltblu1 (Frosty snow globes)

1. Fussy cut four pieces 5 7/8” x 5 7/8”. Label “D”.

D. Pattern #22888-blu1 (Frosty plaid) 1. Cut six squares 5” x 5”. Cut each square in

half on the diagonal for a total of twelve triangles. Label “E”.

E. Pattern #22889-blu1 (Frosty stripe). 1. Fussy cut four strips 2 3/4" x lof, beginning

1/4" to the left of the dark blue stripe and ending 1/4" past the light blue snowflake stripe to the right of the dark blue stripe. Label “borders.”

F. Pattern #22890-dkblu1 (Frosty texture dark) 1. Cut four strips 2 1/4" x wof for the binding.

2. Cut six squares 3 3/4"” x 3 3/4". Cut each square in half on the diagonal for a total of twelve triangles. Label “F”. 3. Cut six squares 3 7/8” x 3 7/8”. Cut each square in half on the diagonal two times for a total of twenty four triangles. Label “B”. 4. Cut twelve squares 1 7/8” x 1 7/8”. Label “A”.

G. Pattern #22890-ltblu1 (Frosty texture light) 1. Cut twenty four squares 2 1/4” x 2 1/4”. Cut

each square in half on the diagonal for a total of forty eight triangles. Label “C”.

Refer to Quilt Image for accuracy in arranging pieces. Block 1: Make 3

1. Sew the long side of a “C” piece to a short side of “B”. Sew another “C” piece to the other short side of “B”. Repeat for a total of eight “CBC” units.

2. Sew two “CBC” units together end to end as in the illustration below:

3. Sew one unit from step 2 to each side of a “D” piece.

4. Sew an “A” piece to each end of the remaining two units.

5. Sew one of the units from step 4 to the top and one to the bottom of the unit created in step 3 to complete block 1.

Block 2: Make 3 1. Sew the long side of an “F” piece to the top

and one to the bottom of a “G” piece.

2. Sew the long side of an “F” piece to each of the remaining sides of “G”.

3. Sew the long side of an “E” piece to the unit

from step 2. Join another “E” piece on the opposite side of the first “E” piece.

4. Sew the long side of an “E” piece to each of the remaining two sides to complete the block.

QUILT ASSEMBLY: Refer to the image of the quilt and the image below to properly assemble the quilt blocks.”

1. Row 1: Sew a “Block 2” to either side of a “Block 1”.

2. Row 2: Sew a “Block 1” to either side of a “Block 2”.

3. Sew “Row 1” to the top of the “Center” piece.

4. Sew “Row 2” to the bottom of the “Center” piece.

1. Making sure to orient the fabric correctly (the dark blue stripe should be to the outside edge of the quilt on all four sides when complete), center one border piece on one side edge of the quilt top. Sew in place, beginning and ending 1/4" from each end of the quilt top. DO NOT trim the excess fabric. Repeat for the opposite side.

2. Repeat for the top and bottom of the quilt top.

3. Miter the corners to complete the top.

FINISHING: 1. Layer the quilt top with the batting and

backing and quilt as desired. 2. Trim the backing and batting even with the

quilt top. 3. Sew binding strips end to end with a

diagonal seams for form one long strip. Press strip lengthwise, wrong side together. Sew to quilt front with a 1/4" inch seam allowance. Turn binding to the back of the quilt and stitch in place.
