FRIST AID OF “BLEEDING”

DEFINITION OF BLEEDING:-

-IT IS LEAKAGE OF BLOOD OUT SIDE THE BLOOD VESSELS.

TYPES OF BLEEDING… • Generally, there are three types of bleeding…

•1.- Arterial.

•2.- Veins.

•3.- Capillaries.

DIFFERENT BETWEEN THESE TYPES’…

Arteries Veins Capillaries

1.-Spirting Blood. 1.-Steady, Slow. 1.-Slow even Flow.

2.-Pulsating Flow. 2.-Dark Red Colour. 2.-Easy to control.

3.-Bright Red Colour. 3.Light Red Colour.

SAFETY MEASURES-

•Make sure’s.-

• Carry out Primary assessment DRS-ABCD.

•Check for medical attention. (make sure EMS)

• Than Survey for a Secondary Assessment.

• Do not remove once applied bandage.

MANAGEMENT OF BLEEDING…

• Generally, Give first aid for minimize the bleeding, Trying to stop them.-

•1.-Direct Pressure- Direct pressure is the main treatment used to

manage body.

• 2.-Elevetion-Elevate the affected are above the level of the heart if

possible.

• 3.-Tourniquet-An improvised tourniquet is only to be used as a last resort.
