Friends of the Central Library APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP Friends of the Central Library want the Library to be kept rather than demolished to make way for the commercial development of Paradise Circus. The Friends were launched at a public meeting on 26 February 2007. Our objects are:
“To bring together people and organisations to highlight the positive features of the Birmingham Central Library, challenge the City Council’s case for demolishing it and promote the creative and sustainable use of the existing building.”
