I hope you have all had a restful Easter break and made the most of the good weather. I have thoroughly enjoyed my first week at Threemilestone School, where all pupils, families and staff have been incredibly welcoming - thank you. I will endeavour to be at the front of the school every morning and again at the end of the day, so please do not hesitate to come and introduce yourselves. It goes without saying that building strong relationships with families is crucial to successful learning outcomes for your children and of course, their happiness. I really can't wait to discover more about TMS and get to know you all. The staff and I are looking forward to the busy term we have ahead. ATTENDANCE: The expected average percentage attendance for a class is 95+%. From 27 th – 31 st March 2017 the classes with the highest level of attendance were: 3 rd Place: Carland Cross with 98% 2 nd Place: Harlyn Bay with 98.4% 1 st Place: Helford with 98.7% Congratulations. Well done and keep up the good work! Helford has been awarded the attendance cup this week and 5 minutes extra play time. CLUBS LIST: The clubs list for the Summer Term 2017 will be sent home with children this afternoon. For all lunchtime clubs, please ask your child to talk to the teacher who is in charge of running the club to be put on their register. For all after school clubs, please ask at the school office for a permission slip, which will need to be signed by an adult before a child can attend the club. Thank you for your support with this. CHARITY HAIR CUT: Mrs Vale is cutting off about 2 foot of her hair for charity! She has been growing it for 5 years and is raising money for Motor Neurone Disease Association. The hair that is cut off will be donated to the Little Princesses trust to be made into wigs for children with cancer. If you would like to sponsor Mrs Vale there will be a charity bucket in the main school office. Staff: We are delighted to announce the safe arrival or Mrs Bray’s baby, Hannah Kitty was born on the evening of Easter Day. Both Mum and baby are doing really well. Mrs Tindale is due to leave us to start her maternity leave in a couple of weeks. Her replacement for the duration of her maternity leave will be Mr David Robinson. Mr Robinson started work alongside Mrs Tindale this week, and is making an exciting start with the children. Talk Topic: What did you enjoy doing most over the Easter Holiday? Each week we display, in the newsletter, a piece of work from one of our classes that shows you what that class has been learning. Blisland Class have been learning to use conjunctions in sentences. This piece of work has been done by Sophie Critchley. Well done Sophie, excellent work. Keep it up!

WELCOME BACK to the Summer Term!
