Hello dear brothers and sisters in Christ!

Is there any feeling that worries you, a sense of guilt in

your heart?Do you constantly dwell on

something you accuse yourself of: adultery, betrayal, abortion,

theft, violence, gossip, alcoholism, pornography, hurtful words, failure, and

other sins of the flesh?

Good new!Good new!

There is therefore now no

condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus, who

walk not after the flesh, but

after the Spirit.

(Romains 8:1)

Many men and women live under the weight of their past mistakes.

They have not found and do not understand the freedom and grace in

Christ. They are condemned by those around them, by Satan and they often lose all

hope. The origin of most emotional problems

comes from guilt or the inability to forgive oneself.

May this message help you find once more the path of grace and freedom in

Jesus.

What is guilt? Guilt is a universal feeling experienced by everyone. It is linked to the concept of fault. After committing a crime, no one dares look at himself in the mirror. Deep within us, we have a consuming feeling of not doing what we should do.We are ashamed. We feel guilty. Our guilt can be so great that we can say like David: "For mine iniquities are gone over my head like a heavy burden they are too heavy for me." Psalms 38:4This guilt can attack us and destroy our happiness in an instant. It is a hard feeling to handle. It is healthy when it occurs in response to a fault, but can become pathological when it invades our existence and constantly imprisons our life.

I must free myself from this guilt that imprisons

me!

Page 5: Free Yourself Fom The Burden Of Guilt

There are two kinds of guilt: 1 - True guilt: we know we have

sinned, we have hurt ourselves or others, or the heart of God, and we feel guilty about it.

2 - False guilt: we have a vague feeling of having done something wrong but not knowing exactly what, or we have an attitude of self-accusation that whatever we do is never “good enough” or that others disapprove. The adversary often devices ways to impose feelings of unnecessary guilt.

False guilt is "addiction to social requirements, human pressures, fear of what people will say." True guilt is the voice of God in us, prompting us to walk resolutely towards a better way, towards His ways.

Bring to the Lord your guilt so He can examine

it. Only then will you know if it is true or false!

For when you let your mind falsely condemn

you, you fall into the trap of the enemy and long days of depression and

discouragement

Consequences of guilt!Consequences of guilt! The feeling of guilt is a big

problem that we must face and not minimize or suppress.

The feeling is almost always inevitably accompanied by anxiety, shame, discomfort, insecurity, fear, inhibition, unworthiness, or the desire for sanctions.

It causes despair, sadness, self-denigration, prevents you from living a spiritual life, becomes a barrier between God and you, decreases fellowship among brethren, desertion of the local church, depression and can even leads to suicide ...

I feel so low, so worthless!

I am no longer worthy to serve the

Lord !

Causes of guilt: People around you accuse you!

People around you, your family and society tend to remind you of your past mistakes, your failures ... And they always remind you each time they get the opportunity!Fortunately God in His great love does not condemn us in the same way that men do!For God and men have different standards. For us, certain things do not seem to be very serious but for God, who is a Holy God, these things are intolerable and insulting to His Holiness as God's standards are much higher than ours. For example, for us, being proud is just a simple shortcoming, much less serious than stealing. But for God, pride is an abomination! He dislikes the sin of pride because it is an insult to His very character. This is what produces all the other sins in our lives.

I'm sick of continually hearing the same criticisms! I'll never rest because of the mistake I made years ago!

What then shall I say to these things? If God is for me, who can be against me? He who did not spare His

own Son but gave Him up for me, how will He not also with Him graciously give me all things? Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—

more than that, who was raised— who is at the right hand of God who indeed is interceding for me (Romain

8 : 31-34)Bethelsg ©

The accuser of

the brethren

Causes of guilt:

Satan accuses you Satan is chief of accusers! He is called the

accuser of the brethren (Revelations 12:10). Satan wants you to pay for something that

Jesus has already paid for. He is the father of lies, his objective is to steal, to kill and to destroy. (John 10:10).

He wants to arouse in you persistent guilt that will condemn you.

One of his strategies is to keep you enslaved to your past. He steals your future with memories of your past failures and mistakes.

He wants you to feel guilty about many things, some of which are true and others of his invention, all in order to control you!

His purpose in making you feel these things is for you to feel guilty before God, because if he succeeds in making you feel guilty, then he will be able to make you avoid the presence of God.

Your sin is too great for God to forgive you! You do not pray enough! Do not even

imagine that God can continue to love you. Look at everything you did ... Stay as

far as possible away from God . You can no longer be worthy of getting close to

Him!

In so doing, he keeps people away from God,

who alone can take away their guilt.

Bethelsg ©

Page 9: Free Yourself Fom The Burden Of Guilt

He will do all he can to keep you weak. Even if you have already sincerely repented of your past sins and that you have asked forgiveness from God, he will device a way for you to remember your mistakes.

He wants you to always feel dirty and unworthy of the love of God. He does not want you to live a victorious Christian life.

Satan delights in accusing us even for trivial things knowing they will lead us away from what is important, far from our communion with God.

Since it is God who chose you, what can separate you from the love God has for you? None of the accusations of Satan have weight before Him!

This weight of guilt should not be present! If you have accepted

Jesus Christ as Savior, this is what He promised: "Come now, let us reason together, says the LORD: though your sins are like

scarlet,   they shall be as white as snow;

though they are red like crimson,

they shall become like wool. ”Isaiah 1:18

Causes of guilt: Satan accuses you Th

e accu

serNo matter what I do or say,I still

feel this guilt within me.

Bethelsg ©

Page 10: Free Yourself Fom The Burden Of Guilt

Causes of guilt: The Holy Spirit convicts you

of sin The Holy Spirit can also arouse in

us a sense of (true) guilt (John 16:8) not to condemn us, but to get us back on track. "For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. "John 3:17

By showing us our sins, He wants to create a conviction. This conviction is that inner pain we feel when we have done something contrary to God` s will. It is not a pleasant feeling, but it leads us to review our actions.

The desire of the Holy Spirit when we feel His conviction is for us to seek help. We must go to God.

God is more than tolerant, He is merciful, and He never gets tired of forgiving, even "if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart" 1 John 3:20.

We are condemned if we listen to the lies of Satan, if we reject the forgiveness

that God offers us and if we reject the hand he holds out

to us. Bethelsg ©

Imperfect solutions to try to free

oneself from guilt Some try to hide their faults, to

overcome their guilt by doing good works, to drown that feeling in many activities, in alcohol, in occupations or harmful behaviors, some try to blame others for their bad behavior, etc.. but there is nothing we can do about it, this feeling still persists.

Others try to bury it, deny it, all to no avail.

Others, while remaining carnal, try to free themselves from guilt by constantly proclaiming (in vain) the verse that says : "There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus" (Rom. 8.1) while neglecting to read the last part of this verse: "who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit" (8.4). If you continue to sin, you walk in the flesh (and you can not appropriate the promise of "no condemnation").

But God can free you from this burden of guilt. That's what he wants, therefore run to Him!

The devil wants us to remain enslaved to him ... Let us not

remain in this situation expecting things to work out by themselves or by our personal efforts, NO!

Let us go to God…!Bethelsg ©

Guilty !

Page 12: Free Yourself Fom The Burden Of Guilt

How to entirely free oneself of guilt.

God wants us to approach Him, to have an intimate relationship with Him, to experience His love, His grace and forgiveness.

Three God give steps to free oneself from guilt:

1. Confessing our sins and repenting. Unconfessed sins separate us from God. God

does not want us to constantly feel guilty and He calls us to confess our sins so that He may forgive us by His grace and purify us. "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 “

Be assured that the sins you confess with a sincere and repentant heart will be thrown to the bottom of "the sea of God` s forgetfulness." And He will remember them no more (Psalm 103:12 and Micah 7:18-19). Even if the accuser Satan wants us to believe otherwise!

Repentance is a decision to abandon

the sins we loved before, and

demonstrating that we bitterly regret

them by not practicing them

anymore.

Page 13: Free Yourself Fom The Burden Of Guilt

2. Have faith in God's Love How can you be free from the feeling

of shame and guilt if you do not believe that it because He loves you, for your mistakes and your failures that Jesus died on the Cross? He is alive and presents His blood to the Father on your behalf so you can be pardoned?

Grace is the free gift of Jesus' life, which leads to the gift of the forgiveness of our sins, which in turn leads to the gift of Christ's righteousness, "the free gift becomes justification" (Romans 5: 16) .

Realize therefore the depth of this love for you! You're valuable in God` s sight, receive His love for you.

Believe that He accepted you in Christ. He loved you while you were still sinful and rebellious. You're the apple of his eye (Deuteronomy 32:10).

How to entirely free oneself of guilt.

"I, I am he   who blots out your

transgressions for my own sake,

and I will remember your sins no more.”

Isaiah 43:25

Bethelsg ©

Page 14: Free Yourself Fom The Burden Of Guilt

3. Accepting God's Forgiveness Jesus loves to forgive, He is rich in mercy, slow to

anger, to those who humbly acknowledge their inability to "do good" and depend on Him every minute.

It may be hard for you to forgive yourself and accept the consequences. The Word of God is your advocate. If it says that God forgives ALL confessed sins, that means that God forgives ALL confessed sins.

If you can not forgive yourself, it` s like you are telling Jesus: “You blood shed for me on the cross is not powerful enough! I still need to add a weight of guilt for an hour, a day, a week, a month ... and by so doing, I would have "paid" for my sins by being miserable! "

2 Corinthians 5:1: "Old things have passed away; all things have become new." Detach yourself from your past. You must realize that YOU ARE A NEW CREATURE!

Whatever the severity of your sin, accept this forgiveness of God, forgiveness which no one deserves but which God offers by GRACE and "let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. "Hebrews 10:22

Then Jesus will say, "Go and sin no more." John 8:1-11.

Jesus is our advocate. He intercedes for us before the Father

because Satan accuses us constantly, looking for the smallest gap through which he can enter our

life. Imagine Satan coming to accuse

you before God for a fault that you have already confessed and Jesus pleading on your behalf with this one argument: "I've already paid

for that fault on his (or her) behalf, everything is settled. My blood has

cleared it. "

How to entirely free oneself of guilt.

I forgive you

because I

love you.

Bethelsg ©

Page 15: Free Yourself Fom The Burden Of Guilt

No longer live enslaved to Satan by blaming yourself because ...

Christ alone is able to grant forgiveness and deliverance from guilt. This is the meaning of the message of the cross.

It is because Jesus first of all broke and defeated the power of sin in all His personal existence, that He can free us from the guilt of sin, and deliver us both from the power and guilt of sin.

Because of the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, many will be made righteous. "For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.” Romans 5: 19

The secret to your freedom is simple: return to Jesus and

confess that which is wrong, accepting His forgiveness and

take the victory, place forgiveness and the cross

constantly before your eyes!

Bethelsg ©

Page 16: Free Yourself Fom The Burden Of Guilt

"In him (Jesus) we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins according to the riches of His grace (...)" (Ephesians

1:7)

"Since, therefore, we have now been justified by His blood, much more shall we be saved by Him from the wrath of God.

" (Romans 5: 9)

... So if God says your sins are forgiven, why do you worry about the accusations of the

enemy?Repent and proclaim the Blood of Jesus that

saved you!"The blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us

from all sin." 1 John 1:7

Many Christians have unfortunately not understood

the power of the Blood of Jesus and are persuaded by

Satan that they are still under condemnation because of one or more of their past

sins.Satan can do nothing against

the Blood of Jesus. The Blood of Jesus reminds Satan of his defeat and it's

something he dislikes.

No longer live enslaved to Satan by blaming yourself because ...

Dear brother /dear sister :Be involved in a relationship with Jesus that enables you to participate in the process of growth in the faith. When guilt overwhelms you, check where you stand in your communion with God, and if you have sin in your life, confess it to God. Then you can walk in communion with Him and the feeling of guilt will disappear.Having a relationship with Jesus does not make you perfect, for you can still sin. However, this opens the door to the truth that sets you free from any condemnation of a guilty conscience that controls your emotions.
