STITCH EXPLANATION:

Work in continuous rnds; do not join or turn unless otherwise instructed.

sc2tog (sc decrease) Insert hook into st and draw up a loop. Insert hook into next st and draw up a loop. Yarn over, draw through all 3 loops on hook.

BODY AND HEAD With A, ch 2. Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in first ch. Place marker in first stitch for beginning of round; move marker up as each rnd is completed. Rnd 2: Work 2 sc in each sc around - 12 sc. Rnd 3: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st, rep from * around - 18 sc. Rnd 4: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 2 sts, rep from * around - 24 sts. Rnd 5: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 3 sts, rep from * around - 30 sts. Rnd 6: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 4 sts, rep from * around - 36 sts.

Rnds 7 -18: Sc in each st around. Rnd 19: *Sc2tog, sc in each of next 4 sts, rep from * around - 30 sts. Rnd 20: *Sc2tog, sc in each of next 3 sts, rep from * around - 24 sts. Rnd 21: *Sc2tog, sc in each of next 2 sts, rep from * around - 18 sts. Begin stuffing piece, continue stuffing as work progresses. Rnd 22: Sc in each of next 6 sts, 2 sc in each of next 6 sts, sc in each of next 6 sts - 24 sc. Rnd 23: Sc in each of next 6 sts, 2 sc in each of next 12 sts, sc in each of next 6 sts - 36 sc. Rnds 24-28: Sc in each st around. Rnd 29: Sc in each of next 6 sts, sc2tog over next 12 sts, sc in each of next 6 sts - 24 sc. Rnds 30 and 31: Sc in each st around. Rnd 32: *Sc2tog, sc in each of next 2 sts, rep from * around -18 sc. Follow package directions to attach eyes, and continue to stuff piece. Rnd 33: Sc in each st around. Rnd 34: *Sc2tog, sc in next st, rep from * around -12 sc. Rnd 35: Sc in each st around. Rnd 36: Sc2tog around - 6 sts. Fasten off.

LEGS (make 4) With B, ch 2 Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in first ch. Place marker in first stitch for beg of round; move marker up as each rnd is completed. Rnd 2: Work 2 sc in each sc around - 12 sc. Rnd 3: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st, rep from * around - 18 sc. Rnd 4: Sc in back loop of each st around. Rnd 5: Sc in each of next 7 sts, (sc2tog) twice, sc in each of next 7 sts - 16 sc. Change to A. Rnd 6: Sc in each of next 6 sts, (sc2tog) twice, sc in each of next 6 sts - 14 sts. Rnds 7-16: Sc in each st around. Fasten off.

NOSE With B, ch 2 Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in first ch. Place marker in first stitch for beg of round; move marker up as each rnd is completed. Rnd 2: Work 2 sc in each sc around - 12 sc. Rnds 3 and 4: Sc in each st around. Stuff Nose firmly. Rnd 5: Sc2tog around. Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Weave tail through last rnd and gather tightly. Knot to secure.

EARS (make 2) With A, ch 2. Rnds 1 and 2: Work same as Rnds 1 and 2 of Nose. Fasten off.

TAIL With B, ch 2. Rnd 1: Work 4 sc in first ch. Place marker in first stitch for beg of round; move marker up as each rnd is completed. Rnd 2: Work 2 sc in first st, sc in each of next 3 sts - 5 sts. Rnd 3: Work 2 sc in first st, sc in each of next 4 sts - 6 sts. Rnd 4: Work 2 sc in first st, sc in each of next 5 sts - 7 sts. Rnd 5: Sc in each st around. Fasten off.

ANTLERS (make 2) With B, ch 2 Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in first ch. Place marker in first stitch for beg of round; move marker up as each rnd is completed. Rnd 2: Sc in each st around. Rep Rnd 2 until piece measures 2 1/2 in. (6.5 cm) long, stuffing as you go. Fasten off.

ANTLER BRANCHES (make 2) Make same as Antlers, working until piece measures 1 in (2.5 cm) long.

COLLAR With C, ch 25. Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and each ch across - 24 sts. Fasten off.

BELL With D, ch 2. Rnd 1: Work 4 sc in first ch. Place marker in first stitch for beg of round; move marker up as each rnd is completed. Rnd 2: Work 2 sc in each st around - 8 sts. Rnd 3: Sc in each st around. Stuff firmly. Rnd 5: Sc2tog around. Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Weave tail through last rnd and gather tightly. Knot to secure.

FINISHING Stuff Legs and sew to Body. Fold Ears in half and sew at one edge, sew this edge to Head. Sew Antler Branches to Antlers, sew Antlers to Head. Stuff Tail and sew to Body. Sew Collar around neck, sew Bell to front of Collar. Weave in ends.
