THE REALITIES

OF BEING A FRANCHISOR:

As the experts in franchising, you can trust us with your business – we will help take you from good to great!

Let Truebrand help you grow into your vision

Franchisees demand/expect uninterrupted support and service.

A successful franchise environment is a relationship environment, which takes considerable time from the franchisor.

The risk of the success of a specific franchise operation remains that of the franchisee, but the franchisor always remains at reputational risk when an individual franchise operation fails.

Continuous expert and responsible management of franchisees remains the responsibility of the franchisor, which requires infrastructure and, once again, considerable time.

Successful staff sourcing, appointment and management are some of the major factors that determine the success and profitability of the franchise operation. The franchisor has a major responsibility towards training and support in this regard, which requires expertise, infrastructure and time.

Implementation of support structure and systems requires expertise, infrastructure and time from the franchisor. Truebrand’s shared services offer ensures a cost-effective, affordable and smooth implementation of these required support systems and structures.

Client service cannot be determined or controlled by the franchisor. However training and continuous monitoring of staff rendering such services to clients and/or consumers remains the responsibility of the franchisor.

Franchisees have a tendency towards false or over-expectations of what the franchisor is willing and able to provide in terms of support and services. This requires continuous “expectation management” from the franchisor.

Commonly, franchisees tend to hold the franchisor responsible for changes in the market environment, new competition and factors such as unsuccessful marketing campaigns and underperforming operations for whatever reasons. 9.1 The franchisee remains the owner of his own business

and shall act accordingly to ensure success and profitability irrespective of his/her expectations with regards to support from the franchisor

The ability to manage a business varies from one individual to another, as does the willingness to make a certain amount of sacrifices to become a successful business owner. As leader, the franchisor plays a vital role in all of these factors, through leadership, relationship management and training.
