2. Use the calendar to review the days of the week, the time of day terms and explain the
terms for the activities listed on the calendar.
CALENDAR-RELATED PHRASES INTRODUCTION [20 MINUTES]
3. Write the first question and answer set on the whiteboard (English and Spanish) and
model the question and answer process using the information on the calendar for one of
the days of the week.
What day are you going to _____ (activity)? ¿Qué día vas a _______ (actividad)?
On _______ (day). El______ (día de la semana).
Teacher asks: “¿Qué dia vas al dentista?”, Teacher answers:“El lunes”.
Repeat for the other days of the week with the teacher asking the question and student
volunteers answering with the correct day of the week.
4. Write the second question and answer set on the whiteboard (English and Spanish) and
model the question and answer process using the information on the calendar for one of
the days of the week.

6. If time allows, give an example of an expanded phrase using the day of the week, the
time of the day, and the activity all in one phrase, such as:
“El lunes voy al dentista a las 2:00 en punto de la tarde”
7. Using the information on the calendar, ask for volunteers to form an expanded sentence
for each of the remaining days of the week.
8. Say Adiós to the students and thank them for participating.
