Grouping
We group our students for Math based on pacing and
advanced math needs
Grouping is based on the following information:
3rd grade recommendation
3rd grade State Tests Scores
4th grade baseline tests
4th grade fact fluency scores (math)
4th grade math and reading STAR tests
Grouping is flexible – students may be moved based on
performance and need
Homework
School Wide Expectations:
Reading at Home (30 minutes, 5 times a week)
Math Fact Fluency Practice
4th Grade Homework
Weekly Language Packets (Spelling/Grammar)
Daily Assignments (what is not finished in class)
Homework should be minimal if class time is used appropriately.
Skyward Family Access
Grades are percentage based.
Parents AND students will be able to access their child’s
classroom grades/work with their child’s identification
number through the Dieringer District web page.
Skyward Access letters will be sent home in September.
It is important parents check Skyward on a regular basis.
The Skyward App is a great resource!

WAYS PARENTS CAN HELP
Check and sign planner daily.
Check Skyward often!
Help your child select:
a regular time for homework
a quiet place away from distractions
a routine for fact practice and RAH reading
Pick Up/Drop OffPlease Do:
Drive slowly and cautiously at all times.
Have your child ride the bus to and from school if at all possible.
Car pool with others to reduce the number of vehicles in the parking area.
Use the designated student pick-up and drop off zones.
Drop off students only at the curb and not in a lane of travel.
Unload students on the curb side of your vehicle.
Observe directional arrows at all times.
Cooperate and be patient with school personnel.
Observe crosswalk and all other school signage.
Please Do Not
Park or unload students in the “Fire Lane”, “Bus Zone” or “No Parking” zones.
Leave your vehicle unattended for any reason.
Unload students from any lane of travel.
Pass other vehicles in line to drop off or pick up students. Be patient.
