Note: Row 80 (WS), Work row 80, removing all markers except for the original 4

markers for the increase lines.

Notes on the use of Markers – Markers are used liberally in the

pattern. Some knitters love them and find them useful – some

knitters do not f ind them useful at all . Markers do need to be

managed. They can shift locations when next to YO’s and will often

need to be physical ly moved when next to decreases, in order to

work the decrease. Take note of the marker placement on the charts

as you work the rows and make sure that the markers are replaced correctly.

Bind-off

The K2tog Bind-off creases a strong and stretchy edge that helps the shawl to

lay flat while wearing. This bind-off takes roughly 6 grams of yarn for this

shawl.

Simple Version – Work K2tog bind-off as written across the shawl edge.

More Complex Version – Sample was bound-off this way – Work K2tog bind-

off, adding and binding-off 2 extra stitches into the stitches above each row

of YO’s.

K2tog Bind-off. – Knit 2 sts, slip

those sts back to your left hand

needle and then knit them together,

1 st is on the right hand needle. K1,

2sts are on the right hand needle,

slip the 2 sts on the right hand

needle back to the left hand needle

and knit them together – repeat

across hem and pull yarn through

last st when finished.
