Visconti has created two new writing instruments at the forefront of writing technology. Beneath the body of these beautiful pens lie a wealth of innovation and cre-ativity which will satisfy even the most demanding pen aficionado. Each pen belongs to the popular “Squaring the Circle” collection. The Blue Typhoon resin is rich in colour, while the Crystal is a pure demonstrator with all internal components visible. This is the first time Visconti has made a completely clear demonstrator and two of Visconti’s patented designs can be perfectly viewed: the “double reservoir power filler” prevents a fountain pen from leaking during air travel and the “hook safe lock” prevents a pen cap from opening in a pocket or bag.

Visconti Smartouch Tubular NibVisconti introduces the new Smartouch Tubular Nib, turned from a capillary tube made of Chromium 18. The tube precisely wraps around the feed, resulting in a unique shape and allowing the user to fill the pen with-out the need to dip the entire grip and nib section into ink. This results in a cleaner and more efficient fill and, due to the nib’s uniquely positioned air hole and design, the nib will stay wet for longer before drying out. The nib is available in F, M, B and Stub widths.

Visconti Mosquito FillerThe Visconti Mosquito ink-filling adaptor, included with each pen, may only be used together with the new Smartouch nib. This interesting device attaches to the end of the pen and is used to fill the pen with ink. The adaptor avoids dipping the pen nib directly into ink and at the same time every last drop of ink will be used from the ink bottle.

Van Gogh Impressionist CollectionThe Van Gogh Impressionist Collection offers a range of pens inspired by paintings from one of the world’s most acclaimed artists. The original Visconti Van Gogh Collection enjoyed more than ten years of success worldwide and provided an exceptional range of pens in a multitude of colors. Two years since the last col-ors were retired, Visconti has provided further inspira-tion and innovation – a range of writing instruments inspired not only by the artist’s color and technique but also by the emotion and technique of the individual paintings themselves. Through meticulous and pains-taking choice of color and palette mix, each Visconti pen is unique, representing a specific Van Gogh paint-ing. The names of the painting and artist are delicately engraved around the pen ring, and each pen is packed in a unique gift box that is complemented with a faith-fully reproduced canvas of the painting. More than 5,000 years ago, with the invention of writing, the pre-history of humankind ceased and the Homo Sapiens marked the dawn of human history. The first great civilizations arose and the development of sciences such as geometry, astronomy and engineering commenced. Conceived for serious writers, the mate-rial comprising this pen is as ancient as the world itself: lava from Mount Etna in Sicily, Italy (Europe’s largest active volcano). The Twelve Tribes Limited EditionVisconti’s latest creation pays tribute to ancient history and the 12 Tribes of Israel. The sacred Torah traces the Israelites to ‘Jacob’, grandson of ‘Abraham’. Jacob, who was later renamed ‘Israel’ after a mysterious incident in which he wrestles with an angel or ‘God’, had twelve sons who became the ancestors of the twelve tribes. Af-ter conquering Israel, each tribe occupied a separate ter-ritory in the holy land of Israel. The Visconti 12 Tribes pen is enriched with Biblical symbols and historical meaning. Distinctive signs and images attributed to each of the tribes are engraved into the pen through a scrimshaw process and each Tribe features different color enamels, matching the one on the Pectoral. The body of the pen is made from ancient .925 silver and features a feint engraving of an olive tree branch, stand-ing for peace and prosperity. The pen body has a unique rotating system and unveils, one after another, the tribes of Israel from right to left (as Hebrew is read). The clip is modeled after the pointer used when reading the To-rah. Other symbols such as the Menorah and the Star of David are also engraved. The precious-resin cap is blue and white, like the flag of Israel. Every piece is presented in a round wooden case, shaped after the one contain-ing the Sefer Torah. This limited edition is made up of 512 writing instruments in solid silver, fountain pen and rollerball, 12 representing the number of tribes and 5 the books of Tanach. Amerigo Vespucci Limited Edition “I reached the land of the Antipodes and I recognized that I was gazing on the fourth part of the Earth. I discovered a continent inhabited by a multitude of peoples and animals, more than our own Europe, than Asia or even than Africa.”

This remark may bring a smile to our lips today, but in 1497 the letter that the Florentine navigator Amerigo Vespucci addressed to Lorenzo de’ Medici caused such a stir that when Martin Waldseemüller drew the first map of America 10 years later, he named the continent after the feminized Latin version of Vespucci’s name: Ameri-cus Vespucius. This notable explorer traveled to the New World on 4 separate occasions. 2012 marked the 500th anniversary of the birth of Vespucci. To create a pen com-memorating this important anniversary, Visconti took inspiration from Vespucci’s travels and Waldseemül-ler’s famous map of 1507. To reproduce portions of the map correctly, Visconti further perfected its scrimshaw technique on special ivory resin, introducing points and chiaroscuro into the graphic work, and embedded the scrimshaw into the pen’s surface. Visconti’s unique 23kt palladium Dreamtouch nib enhances this masterpiece, available in M, F, XF, B, BB, and stub widths. His most famous book, “Gulliver’s Travels”, was published in 1726, in which he describes Gulliver’s travel to different countries, reflecting his political experiences and belittling the mannerism of the English prevalent class. The cap is made of precious black resin in a trian-gular shape and engraved with Jonathan Swift’s signature and shaped like Gulliver’s tricorn hat, a typical tradesman hat of the early 18th century. The barrel features multi-layered inlays in black precious lacquer with “ropes” wrapped around the barrel, reminiscent of Gulliver being captured at the Shore of Lilliput Island. The clip depicts a staircase which the mayor of Lilliput had to climb to be able to talk to the giant Gulliver. c Rediscover PompeiiIn 1996, the Pompeii Limited Edition was Delta’s first pen made in celluloid, and featured the very classic lateral lever filling system. One of the most characteristic details of the Pompeii was “the Pompeian red” coloration, cho-sen because the walls of the houses of the ancient Roman City being painted in this red tonality. Recently some investigators have demonstrated that the true color of the walls of those houses was actually “yellow”. This incred-ible news has led Delta’s artisans to again take inspiration from “Pompeii”, and develop a new collection of writing instruments utilizing the “yellow” as the base color of this precious celluloid, interlaced with antiquing streaks. Gladiator CollectionThe myth of ancient Gladiators, the armed combatants who entertained audiences in the Roman Empire in violent confrontations with other gladiators, wild ani-mals, and condemned criminals, has been celebrated throughout time. Some gladiators were volunteers who risked their legal and social standing and their lives by appearing in the arena. Originally, the Gladiator games evolved out of an Etruscan religious practice, and then were adopted by Roman society to honour the charac-teristics of bravery in face of death. Stipula has embod-ied this valour in a new collection with a high sculpture artwork: the band of the pen represents the Roman Coliseum, an icon of the gladiators’ fights, while the top of the pen is a typical shield with the main elements of the Gladiators: a net, which was used to harness the opponent, a helmet and a trident. The Gladius, the famous short sword of Romans, is also represented by the clip of the pen, while the ring at the bottom of the barrel is the reproduction of the studs around the gladi-ators’ shield. Gettysburg Collection Limited EditionEach ball pen/gel pen barrel (one dated for each day of the 1863 battle) is machined from solid copper, naval brass or stainless steel bars into the shape of an 1850’s handgun barrel used during the Civil War, and are quite heavy like the guns themselves. Each pen also features a new super strong clip system. Limited to 188 pens in each metal (inclusive of Mechanical Pencils in 0.7mm or 0.5mm which are also available at the same price as the ball pen). conKlinCrescent Collection

Conklin created the Mark Twain Crescent Filler Foun-tain Pen as a replica of the original Crescent Filler foun-tain pen used and promoted by Mark Twain in the early 1900’s. You can experience the same satisfaction and inspiration that Twain felt as he penned his ex-traordinary thoughts. In 1903, the legendary American author expressed the virtues of this unique self-filling pen in advertisements where he stated: “I prefer it to ten other fountain pens, because it carries its filler in its own stomach, and I cannot mislay even by art or inten-tion. Also, I prefer it because it is a profanity saver; it cannot roll off the desk.” The Crescent Filler is known for its easy-to-fill reservoir. To fill the pen, simply press the crescent on the barrel to depress/empty the rubber bladder inside; as the crescent is released, ink flows back into the bladder. Conklin fitted the Crescent with a two-tone steel nib featuring a corresponding crescent shaped breathing hole, available in M, F, B and a silver toned Stub widths. The Crescent Filler fountain pen is now available in captivating, fresh resin colors. taking care of your fountain pen• Use your pen! The ink in a fountain pen flows most smoothly when the pen is used regularly.• Do not press down hard on the nib when the pen won’t write. Excessive pressure can damage the nib. When a pen

does not write well, it is often because the pen needs to be cleaned and refilled.• Cap the pen properly by placing the cap onto the barrel rather than dropping the barrel into the cap which can result

in ink spilling into the cap.• Write on quality stationery which is neither too absorbent, nor coated (giving a slick writing surface) nor too fibrous

(releasing fibers which can clog your pen).• When traveling by airplane, your pen should be completely full of ink or completely empty. Air trapped in a partially

filled ink cartridge or converter can expand with changes in altitude and cause a fountain pen to leak.• Place the cap on the pen when not in use; otherwise the ink can evaporate or thicken.• When not in use, a fountain pen containing ink should be stored in an upright position (nib facing the sky). If your

pen will not be used for a week or so, it is best to remove the ink and clean the pen with cool water.• To clean your pen, first empty the ink. Use your converter or built-in filling mechanism to fill and flush the pen with

cool water. Repeat several times until the water runs clear. For very clogged pens with built-in filling mechanisms, fill the pen with cool water and let the water sit overnight. Further, leave the uncapped pen soaking overnight in a glass of cool water, nib facing downwards, entirely submerged in the water. If a converter fill, remove the nib/grip section unit and allow it to soak in the water overnight. Use a soft cloth to wipe excess water from the nib when drying.
