I t persists. According to study after study of international business executives, the number one concern is leadership. The second is innovation. How are you achieving them?

You can only accomplish what you have clearly defined. There are many myths about leadership being automatically aligned with a title. Not so. Many of us have had interludes with “bad bosses” who believe that because they own the company, or a supervisor who has been promoted, suddenly has to become a demon, a screamer, someone who will take you out at the knees in order for them to appear successful.

There are many myths that leaders are born into that character. It has been proven that leadership can be taught and that some leaders develop into those roles.

One thing is for sure: managers have subordinates; leaders have followers.Want to see who is following you? Turn and look over your shoulder when you leave

a room. Listen to what people say about you when you depart from a meeting. Watch what behaviors of yours are emulated to achieve goals while you celebrate the accomplishments of your teams.

Great leaders manage, train, coach or counsel, and most importantly, they LEAD. The subtle differences become more nuanced when organizations begin to realize the primary importance of leadership and how it is entwined with fearlessly empowering others within your department, division or firm to become the best leaders they can be through coaching.

Kayte Connelly, President, Best Principled Solutions LLC is a certified, credentialed, professional coach. She continues to train with three different groups, all surrounding energy and tension management: the Institute for Productive Tension; the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching; and the John Maxwell Team.

Connelly has more than 30 years of community leadership experience. She’s merged and grown multi-million dollar organizations; produced major Leadership award programs and has facilitated thousands of conversations with individuals, communities and groups supporting them in moving forward.

Exciting programs that Best Principled Solutions LLC brings to the Lehigh Valley are the Executive and Leadership Accountability Clubs, Pride-Based Leadership, Energy Leadership and the Greater Lehigh Valley Leadership Consortium (GLVLC) with its signature program, Leadercast Greater Lehigh Valley.

Leadership Still Number One Issue GloballyEach of these are programs that were specifically focused for peer groups of executives,

entrepreneurs, managers and nonprofit boards.Club sessions are designed to assist you in planning and implementing human

resource talent solutions in your work environment. “We move beyond the goal setting, to understand what’s holding us back and how we can actually achieve what we have set out to do,” said David C. Myers, Director of Human Resources, Bethlehem Shared Services. As you work through the program, you will uncover new realizations about yourself.

Connelly will also be introducing a half-day program organized through John Maxwell, October 9, called “Live 2 Lead.” John Maxwell, Patrick Lencioni, Valerie Burton and Steve Turner are among the featured guests.

Additionally, Connelly and her team facilitate corporate COACHING conversations moving management teams into strategic leadership posture.

Through highly charged dialogue, teams develop trust, enhance communication skills and discover methods of accountability. Coupled with ongoing coaching, teams position their companies for controlled growth, while providing flexibility for unanticipated advancement.

Let Best Principled Solutions help you to achieve your goals and be the best leader you can be. Congratulations again to all of the 40 Under 40 Awardees.
