London will be the epicenter of the sporting world this month. The 2012 Summer Olym-pics will consume everyone's attention, and this year's crop of athletes is as strong as it has been in a long time, with more main-stream appeal than a duel concert with Lady Gaga and Katy Perry.
There are a few stars who stand out above the rest of the pack. We are not tuning into the Olympics for the sole purpose of seeing some of the quirky sports, but because we are fascinated to see these athletes we have be-come so invested in over the last four years.
Performing under the bright lights of the Olympics can take its toll on an athlete. Some have already proven to be up to the task, while others are looking to make a name for themselves.
Here are the superstars who will steal all of the spotlight at the Summer Olympics.
Michael Phelps (Swimming)
Not sure if you remember this guy, but he was kind of a big deal four years ago when he won an Olympic-record eight gold medals at the Beijing Games.
With the single-Olympic gold medal record already under his belt, Phelps is going to be focused on setting the career mark in Lon-don. He has won 16 medals over the last two Summer Olympics, putting him just two be-hind Larisa Latynina's mark of 18.
Considering that Phelps has said this will be the last time he competes in the Olympics, all eyes will be on him, win, lose or draw. Given his history, the "lose or draw" doesn't seem to be much of a factor.
Usain Bolt (Track & Field)
Bolt was arguably the biggest star to come out of the Beijing Olympics, even more than Michael Phelps. Where Phelps was obviously going all-out in every event that he was in, Bolt seemed to be toying with his opponents at times.
Think about that for a second: In an Olympic event, with the best athletes from all over the world running in these events, Bolt was so great that he didn't even have to run 100 per-cent in order to win a gold medal.
Even if he is on the track for 10 seconds, which is doubtful considering how fast he is, it will be the most fascinating 10 seconds of the year.
LeBron James (Basketball)
Despite what you hear about James as a "closer" in the NBA, he is the best basketball player on the planet. No one can match his unique combination of skills on the court—he is Magic Johnson for this generation.
While winning an NBA championship is going to determine his ultimate legacy in this country, winning another gold medal will be the ultimate feather in his cap. He performed admirably in 2008, but he is an infinitely better player and teammate now than he was four years ago.
On a team loaded with talent, James is going to be the key to a Team USA victory. Fortu-nately, he is more than capable of handling the task.

What Causes Stress Stress is your body's physical way of responding to "any" kind of demand, and can be caused by positive or negative events. Stress is not always bad, however, must be managed to avoid health risk. Scheduled vaca-tions, is one way to help manage stress. If and when you perceive a threat to yourself or your immediate environ-ment, your nervous sys-tem responds by releasing stress hormones into the body. Your heart pounds faster, muscles tighten, your blood press rises and your mind becomes sharper. You then make a decision as to how you will handle the situation which is threatening you. If this elevated status of your body remains at peak, for a long period of time, you could be headed for a stress related outcome, which can include migraine headaches, muscle tension, high blood pressure, insom-nia and ulcers, just to name a few. Many people have trouble breaking the habit of stress, after it has be-come a part of their everyday life. The first step to gaining control over your stress is to visit your medical doctor. The second step, based upon what your doctor tells you, is to schedule a vacation. Using a Vacation, As Preventive Medicine Travel fits right in at the top for re-lieving symptoms of stress. A vacation can immediately put a stop to damaging and stressful habits that we place on ourselves due to everyday life. However please note, a vacation is NOT an alternative to see-ing your doctor and having the nec-essary test preformed, to determine the damage, if any to your body, due to long periods of stress. A vacation will help you avoid long-term stress
and remind your body to relax. A vacation, which is not well planned, or which causes stress within itself, may not a better solution, but an added stress. So instead of reducing your stress level, you just add to it, with a different kind of stress. This is when a travel specialist can help you plan a stress free vacation. It is important to remember, that if
you are taking a vacation because your stress level is high, than a group tour may not be the best vaca-tion choice. Travelers who have high stress usually will need a couple days just to do "nothing." Of course, once you have traveled half way around the world, to an exotic destination, your mind
tells you that you must get out and see the sights, ride the banana boat, take the glass bottom boat ride, go shopping and tour the city. It may be a good idea to provide yourself, with two or three days, to rebuild your energy, before joining the tourists. Many people take a cruise in order to force themselves to relax. Once you board the ship and get lost finding your cabin (and of course the emer-gency drill) you can just lay by the pool or on your balcony for a couple days until the ship docks at the first destination. Be sure to opt for the 'dine at any time option' or use the buffet for the first couple days of the cruise. That way you can eat when your body and your mind both agree on a time. Of course, if you have a fear of cruising than this would only increase your stress level and a beach front resort, in a warm climate, might be your best choice.
