Ambrose reports that a warrant has been issued for Eddie T. White, 35, of Newark, in connection with an aggravated assault and terroristic threats that occurred today. Shortly after midnight, police responded to a residence in the 200-block of Weequahic Avenue on a call of an aggravated assault. A man pointed a gun at and threatened the life of a woman he knows following a quarrel. The man fled on foot, heading southbound on Clinton Place. Detectives investigating this incident identified Eddie T. White as a suspect in this incident and secured a warrant for his arrest on a charges of Aggravated Assault, Terroristic Threats, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose. White is described as 5’9” tall and 160 lbs. He has a dark brown complexion, brown eyes and black hair. He also has a tattoo on his right hand featuring the word “MOB.” Director Ambrose urges anyone with information about the whereabouts of Eddie T. White to call the Department’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477) or 1-877-NWK-GUNS (1-877-695-4867). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
