Most luxury travel packages depart from the US or Europe but soon they will depart from and return to China.

The market potential is significant. China has spawned an unparalleled number of “new wealth” consumers and it will soon represent the world’s greatest economy. According to recent research by HURUN/Visas Consulting Group the majority of Chinese millionaires and billionaires are planning to emigrate from China to North America. A preferred way for this prospective consumer to explore where they might attend school, invest, or ultimately immigrate to is to tour the competitive markets on a purpose-based itinerary. Along the way guests could enjoy numerous “surprise and delight” VIP excursions made possible via exclusive, local relationships. If the agenda changes Bespoke can accommodate.

Catering to Chinese consumers requires cultural sensitivity, specific culinary demands and a Mandarin-speaking, domestic marketing and sales network. Oftentimes, wealthy Chinese also seek discretion and confidentiality when travelling or investing overseas. By aligning the interests of trusted brands in private jet charters, luxury travel, real estate representation and logistics, Chinese nationals will have a new, white glove service to explore the world and pursue their interests abroad.

Unlike dedicated aircrafts that oftentimes fly with unfilled seats, Bespoke Expeditions only fly when the trips are sold, resulting in lower overhead, greater scalability and one-to-one profit generation for its partners.

THE opportunity

THE PARTNERSHIP

There are two models to pursue with luxury travel and very few, if any competitors.

Semi-Private: An existing model with TCS Expeditions is available for pre-scheduled group packages. Guests can enjoy pre-determined destinations with all-inclusive experiences for 52-78 passenger groups experiencing the same journey such as Four Seasons hotels in exotic destinations or even hosted immersion trips with National Geographic. While the retrofitted Boeing 757 TCS utilizes is a private aircraft, the experience is not truly private or personalized with respect to language, cuisine or itinerary and is designed for larger groups and longer trips. Likewise, Abercrombie & Kent offers large, private jet trips for 44 – 50 passengers. Neither platform is able to offer personal itineraries on small private jets.

Private Travel: By leveraging smaller, private jets Bespoke Expeditions can offer travelers highly personalized charters that begin with coordinating the air travel but extend deeply into each market that is visited. Guests can travel in small groups with completely personalized cuisine, itineraries and experiences. These trips can be coordinated as part of recommended tours or in completely customized charters. By virtue of being private, the trips can be revised on a moment’s notice and at the discretion of the guests. Also, the “surprise and delight” excursions in each city could include very personal experiences where access would be impossible and not as meaningful if shared with dozens of strangers. Bespoke Expeditions are limited to the select few.

THE trips

Palau (1 night) - Palau is a pristine paradise and features coral reefs, blue holes, wartime wrecks, hidden caves and tunnels, an astonishing spectrum of coral, fish, and rare sea creatures. There are also some outright miracles of evolution: giant clams that weigh a quarter of a ton, for example, and a lake teeming with 21 million softly pulsating, stingless jellyfish. But you don’t have to get wet to enjoy Palau. On land the republic embraces Micronesia’s richest flora and fauna: exotic birds fly around the islands, crocodiles slip through the mangrove swamps and orchids sprout profusely in backyards.

Hawaii (2 night) - Honolulu, situated on the island of Oahu, is the main gateway to Hawaii and is also a major hub for international business, military defense, as well as famously being host to a diverse variety of east-west and Pacific culture, cuisine, and traditions. Located on the south shore of Honolulu, the world-famous neighborhood of Waikiki was once a playground for Hawaiian royalty.
