Abrasive garnet is added to the water in order to cut through the material.
The size of the garnet abrasive typically used today for waterjet cutting ranges from 50 mesh to 220 mesh, with the
most common being 80 mesh.
Waterjet machines can cut reflective materials, such as stainless steel, polished brass, conductive materials, heat resisting.
Heat sensitive materials can be cut with little or no discoloration, and no heat affected zones.
