What did you do?

In addition to keeping up with my online studying my classroom moved with me. I was able to learn history and culture from the areas I was staying in.

While in Cambodia, I learned first hand that Thailand was not the only country that has been affected by flooding. I traveled miles in boats through floated rice patties and even a flooded forest.

I also visited Angkor Wat, where I was absorbed in Angkor history as well as the ancient architecture and sculptures.

How have you been impacted by the flooding in Thailand?

It was hard to find water and food. It hard to get around because the water was up to our knees. It was hard to get around because the roads were flooded.

Some people took advantage of the situation by selling boats, boots and water proof backpacks.

People continued selling fruits in the flooded streets.Water has been added to this fruit stand...Drinking water is hard to come by.

How has the flooding affected your daily life?

I had to evacuate from home. Before I drank water I had to make sure it was boiled so I wouldn't be drinking bacteria and other stuff in the water. We had to buy water and can food to prepare in case the electricty would be cut off.

We are in the hotel in one room instead of a house. This one room is where I eat, sleep, study and watch movies.

What have you learned about how the flooding has impacted Thailand and Thai people?

I learned that people had to move and evaculated from their homes, park their cars on the bridges, or any high spot they could find, and that some people don't have clean water to drink, food to eat, or dry places to sleep. My family is lucky compared to some.
