See Through Ground Floor – Twin giant trunks of iconic broad crowned tree-like museum, stand amidst slightly inclined columns, and tree filled Garden Atriums. Like walking through a grove of trees toward the sea beyond.

Approach from Market Square – A sleek silhouette, tall and streamlined. The form evokes the excitement of standing at quayside, gazing at the ship’ s bow and, anticipating a new arrival from an exotic culture.

Street terminating at sea maintains view of sea – Bow of Museum Ship can be seen.

Exhibit Floor – Totally conditioned interior-oriented Gallery at right. The Outer Ring Gallery offers an alternative ambience, displaying art in spaces connected to the real world. Various views towards City, Harbor, and Park.

Minimal building footprint. Maximal transparency and interrelation between inside and outside. Civic Plaza / Exhibition Park shares symbiotic ambience of both Tahtitornin Park and Harbor, and is used for civic events, casual everyday life, amidst outdoor exhibition. Access to public activity ascends through Garden Atriums.

Entire floor dedicated to public involvement, cultural exchange including global tele-networking, learning and participatory activities. Helsinki’ s cultural clubhouse for citizens of all ages.
