The Pico desk system is a multipurpose desking system which can be configured to be a simple table, a single desk, a side to side bench, a back to back bench or a 120 degree workstation. All configurations use the same core components, allowing a great degree of flexibility and easy specification. The Pico desking range features an integral cable management system including cable towers and cable trays.

Pico SpecificationThe Pico range has been designed to share key components, keeping specification and reconfiguration easy and straight forward.

Frame work All Pico frames and legs are formed from cut steel tube for strength. Arched support (leg frame) at either end of all workstation configurations - improving strength.Cross rails span back to back configurations.Beams are formed from 40mm x 25mm tube for strength. Cable managed support tower and support rails minimising components.All frameworks have been tested to over 200kg of imposed load with minimal deflection.

Cable ManagementPico desks have a simple but effective high capacity cable system using desk mounted cable trays. Cable trays are accessed by sliding the work surface forward, providing a 175mm full width access section to the rear of the work surface.

Power and data sockets can be fixed to the cable tray providing a secure fitting. All trays have cable securing clamps and cable clips to both fix the cable on entry.Cable trays are pierced to allow for the drainage of any spilt fluids, helping to prevent potential electrical problems.Cables are brought up from the floor via a cable tower in the centre of linked workstations or via cable spines.Cable spines can be positioned at any point on the workstations and are secured to the steel desk frame. Power and data outlets can also be mounted directly to the worktop or screen - meets BS6396 (2008).

WorksurfacesWorksurfaces can be formed from a variety of materials with MFC, Laminates and veneers. The most common finish is 25mm MFC. MFC is both cost effective and highly durable.

MFC tops can have a different edge finish to the top finish creating an alternative appearance. (As shown in this image)

18mm particle board and 15mm solid core laminates as optional finishes.

Standard edging is a high impact 3mm thick ABS with a pencil radius. Hardwood and T barb edges are also available as alternative finishes.

Steel FinishesStandard finishes for framework and legs are;On orders over 50 workstations, any RAL colour is available.

ScreensThe Pico screen system is designed specifically for the Pico ranges. The screen range can be retrofit to other desking ranges using additional bracket. All screens are 30mm wide with a full aluminium surround with a choice of two or three tool rails. These rails are designed to accept a variety of accessories including pen trays, paper trays, telephone trays and shelving. Desk attached screens are secured to the frame of the desk via a steel post. Where screens meet side to side, a rigid fixing piece is inserted to stop any creep in the line of the screens.

All fabric screens are Camira Lucia and pinnable as standard.

Non fabric screens are available in polycarbonate and plexiglass (acrylic).

A full range of matching free-standing screens complete the system.

Bench lengths can be any combination of the sizes of desks and there is no restriction to the overall length of the bench.

120 DEGREE DESKING

Four standard leg styles are available: goalpost, curved goalpost, rectangular loop and “A2” frame. All leg frames have levelling feet and are fitted with heavy duty fixing spigots.

The goalpost (60mm x 30mm) leg is a fully welded goalpost leg with a vertical end detail.

The curved goalpost (60mm x 30mm) leg is a fully welded goalpost leg with a vertical end detail.

The “A2” frame leg is fabricated in the same way but has a 70 degree curved angle to create a lighter aesthetic.

The rectangular leg has a steel rail across the bottom of the goalpost leg to create a box section.

Single Desking

Side to Side DeskingSide to side desking is made up of a starter desk and extensions (unlimited). Available in the 4 legs styles and double wave desks, rectangular desk and single wave option*. All cable trays, parts, screens and screen parts are ordered separately.*Single wave benches are required to be ordered through SPT’s due to the desktops being right handed and left handed.

Back to Back DeskingBack to back desking are made up of a starter desk and extensions (unlimited). Available in the 4 leg styles, double wave desks, rectangular desk and single wave options. Specifying Cable TraysCable trays are not included and are to be specified separately. There are 3 types of cable trays available; one for 120 degree desks, one that fits both single and side to side desks and one for back to back desks. Cable trays come in various sizes to match the width of the desk it’s required. The side to side and single desk cable trays fit on the back beam whilst the back to back monitor arm sits between the 2 central beams.

Modesty PanelsSingle desks are the only desks that come with a modesty panel as standard. Modesty panels must be ordered separately for Starter, extension side to side desks

Within a run of 2 side to side desks, both desk requires a ‘Side’ modesty panel. If the run has 3 or more desk, each desk at the end needs a ‘side’ modesty panels and the middle desks need a ‘middle’ modesty panel. “A” frame legs require a suspended modesty panel.See price lists for more information.

Height Adjustment KitsPico desks are 740mm high as standard. There are two methods of increasing the height of a Pico desk: - Fixed height adjustment kits available as 40mm, 60mm or 80mm. - Crank height adjustment kit up to 120mm extra height. Specifying Desks with ScreensSingle, side to side and back to back desks are available with sliding tops or fixed tops. Sliding tops give access to the cable trays. Desks which have a depth of 600mm are available as fixed top only. When attaching a screen to a 600mm deep desk screen clamp (JSCRSSBKTJOS) is to be used. Other screen components will be required such as screen posts, screen end trims, and top link and bottom links if the desks are part of a run.

When attaching a screen to a 800mm deep desk there are two options: select a fixed top desk and attach a screen via a screen clamp as per above, or if a sliding top is desired with a screen select a fixed top desk and a screen support rail (PUNISUPT800***) which makes the top in to a sliding top. Other screen components will be required such as screen end trims and top link and bottom links if the desks are part of a run.
