Summer Golf

In addition to the competitions and events listed in the fixtures it is worth noting the following:- Ladies - Tuesday Ladies tee times have priority on the 1st Tee on Tuesday A start sheet for the day is submitted to the professional Ladies should be asked to play through at all times Gents, guests or visitors may play in the afternoon if the course is free Gentlemen - Social golf Anyone wishing to play golf is welcomed with open arms Register (normally in the Clubhouse) before the deadline time and get ready to play A draw is made for a partner(s) depending on the format A small entry fee is used to provide prizes The events, known as the Club ‘Fiddles’, are held on the following days (18 holes unless stated)

Gentlemen There is the 'Top Dog' competition which runs throughout the winter Ideal for new members to integrate themselves into the Club Register with the Club Professional and pay a one off entry fee Draw to commence for partners at 8:15 am prompt Any alternative Club Competition is displayed on the notice board All social golf times are brought forward by 30 minutes Ladies There is the ‘Top Cat’ competition on Sundays at 1pm (meet 12.30) Ideal for beginners/new members to develop their golf skills Competition to be played over 11 holes after the draw for partners A good opportunity to learn some rules and course etiquette

Saturday Schedule Coaching sessions with our resident Assistant Professional (Gary) Structured Golf Foundation 8 week courses £79.99 (Members £59.99) Beginners 09.00 – 10.00 Improvers 10.00 – 11.00 Rookies (29+) (37+) 11.00 – 12.00 Tour School (0-28) (0-36) 13.00 – 14.00 Tee time for all Junior golfers is 2 – 3pm ‘It is the responsibility of senior members of the Club to be positive role models for our Juniors and to help them in their development in terms of expected levels of behaviour and golf etiquette’.

Divot-filling Evening

Thursday 17th April at 6 pm

An evening of divot-filling by members has been arranged and will take place on Thursday 17th April at 6pm.

All members are more than welcome to participate—just bring yourselves, some gloves, flat shoes and a bucket!

Afterwards, a pie and pea supper will be provided free of charge. Any donations are welcome to add to those already kindly received from the Captain and President.

When the ground temperature warms up and the grass starts growing, the Greens staff time will be better spent cutting and grooming the course than spending many man hours divot-filling—this is where we can make a large contribution and have a fun evening too!
