Many people don't realize just how important fitness is to their life. Fitness is more than just losingweight; it's committing to being the healthiest and happiest you that you can be. Here are somegreat ways to get fit and to propel you toward optimum levels of personal fitness.

If you want to get fit, stop making excuses not to go do it. The situation doesn't have to be perfect.Not every workout needs to be record-setting. Even if you don't feel like it, just go. Your body willthank you for it later, and soon enough it will become a habit.

Many times you may think that you do not have to stretch, or that if your exercise is lightenough that your body will stretch itself. This is never the case, and becomes more important theolder you get. Always stretch to prevent injury and get the most out of your workout.

One tip to live a healthier lifestyle is to make sure you get the recommended seven to eight hours ofsleep every night. Sleep is needed to keep your immune system healthy and control stress. Studieshave shown that not getting the proper amount of sleep is linked to obesity.

Set goals. Having something you're working toward makes the exercise worthwhile. Whether youwant to fit into a dress, run a marathon or look great at a reunion, setting goals helps you to see alight at the end of the exercise tunnel and helps you to focus on that goal.

To do this, you should slightly extend your wristsbackward. Keep them in this position while you perform arm curls. Do this, and you will notice theresults.
