  • Fit for Tea Mitts By Renee Van Hoy, Invisible Loom http://invisibleloomcraft.blogspot.com/

These lacy mitts are based on the very wonderful idea of my friend Lori. She makes her mitts by purling them, and then reversing the mitt to show the knit side of the fabric. This has the effect of giving the fabric the size of an e-wrap knit stitch, with the appearance of a traditional knit stitch. Loom: 21 peg, 22, or 25 peg, inch gauge loom Yarn: 100 150 yards of worsted weight wool or wool blend; sample made with Filatura Lanatora Soft Silk, colorway 66. Notions: Crochet Hook Loom Tool Stitch Guide: K = loosely made flat knit stitch P = purl Page 2 C. 2013 Invisible Loom, all rights reserved.

  • EK-> = e-wrap knit and move loop over to the next peg K/EK = follows a K->, knit the two loops together, wrap the peg and knit again K all = flat knit all stitches in the row P all = purl all stitches in the row YO = bring yarn across the front of empty peg Pattern Notes: Knits are loose flat knit stitches, except where e-wrap knits are indicated in the pattern. The mitts are worked in the round starting from the fingers, until the point where the thumb opening is made. Then they are worked as a flat panel to create an opening. Finally, the mitts are worked again in the round to finish with a lacy wrist cuff. The Lacy Cast On and Lacy Cast Off is a crochet cast on and cast off, where 3 chain stitches are worked between each cast on and cast off stitch. If you prefer a different cast on and cast off, you may use it and add the chain stitches. Page 3 C. 2013 Invisible Loom, all rights reserved.
