Successful fishing this time of year depends on having a good working knowledge of fish behavior and patterns during weather changes.

From catching grunts off a dock to targeting kings and sailfish in deeper water, the Keys offer a myriad of choices for the fishing enthusiast.

Enough is enough! we add I don’t want to work on the boat. I don’t want to relax anymore!” So goes

the plight of an adventure coordinator here in the Florida Keys. Even the easy days of off season have gotten to be monotonous. It’s time to get back to work on the water, WOWING the crowd. FishMonster Magazine and the amazing crew of contributors bring you a variety of tips, techniques and stories to kick off the season.

Within these pages this month you will find a gratefulness for all that the Florida Keys are. From Captain Bobby

Manske who puts his witty spin on the magical life he lives and the special people that he loves. He writes from the heart of a good soul; to the quality content by “Yak Man” Randy Morrow with his contribution towards the kayak culture. He knows all the tricks, the ins and outs of the season and has put together a calendar you can really use.

We’re also continuing the Survivor series this month highlighting a local business who is succeeding in the Keys. You will find a laundry list of reasons why our longtime sponsors and dear friends at Down Under Bottom Cleaning have been able to succeed in a place where

90% of the new Florida Keys businesses fail within the first three years. Our islands are difficult to understand especially when it comes to being an entrepreneur. John and Pat Chamberlain have been able to prosper and grow with a lot of dedication, hard work and trust in FishMonster to handle their marketing. We are grateful to be part of their success story.

Most of all we want to thank all of you for supporting FishMonster and Island Jane Magazine over the years with your stories, pictures and overall excitement. We couldn’t do it without you. Thank you!
