9:30am: Arrive at London St Pancras InternationalFrom St Pancras Tube station, take the Circle Line down to South Kensington for your first stop: the Natural History Museum.

Travel time: 35 mins

10:30am: Natural History Museum By skipping the opening rush at 10am, you shouldn’t have to queue for very long. When inside, make sure you check out the animatronic dinosaurs and interactive human biology exhibits. Fancy a mid-morning snack? Pay a visit to the food hall inside the museum or head outside to the ice cream and drinks carts.

Cost: free Facilities: Toilets with baby changing facilities are dotted around the museum, and there are lifts – but these may be limited to certain floors due to renovation works.

12:30pm: Food along the South Bank Take the Circle or District Line from South Kensington to Westminster – the South Bank is just a ten-minute walk away across Westminster Bridge. You’ll also be able to see the London Eye, the Houses of Parliment, and experience an iconic view across the Thames. There are loads of places along the South Bank to grab a bite to eat, from street food vans and chains to independent restaurants.

Our pick: Head to kid-friendly Mexican restaurant Wahaca for reasonably priced food, including ‘build your own tacos’.

Optional Extra: London EyeJust a short walk away is the London Eye. Get a bird’s eye view of London, taking in sights such as the Houses of Parliment and St Paul’s Catherdral. Don’t be put off by a long queue, as this’ll move quickly.

Cost: adult – £20.70; child – £14; family of four – £69.40 Facilities: There are clean and well-serviced toilets opposite, with baby-changing table.

3:30pm: City Cruises River Rover TourBoard your cruise at London Eye Pier or Westminster Pier for a relaxing trip along the Thames and countless photo opportunities of famous landmarks. Boats depart every 30 minutes, with a return journey lasting 50 minutes to 1 hour and 20 minutes.
