To facilitate your education, Walsh provides all students with access to the latest tools and resources in the Walsh Finance Lab, including a full-color LED ticker, 11 dual-screen Bloomberg terminals, FactSet financial software, and an interactive Rise Market Wall.
In addition to challenging classroom assignments, many students opt to put their skills to the test in competitions with other students. The Walsh College Investment Club and the Michigan Alpha Project both provide opportunities to fine-tune your finance knowledge and network with other competitors.
The state-of-the-art Finance Lab, coupled with instructors bringing real-life scenarios into the classroom, ensure that you develop finance expertise that is both comprehensive and valuable.

Walsh College is the most successful participant in the ACG Detroit competition’s history. Each year, Walsh College student teams have placed first or second in every year of the ACG Detroit competition.

The ACG Cup is a case study competition administered by the Association for Corporate Growth, a private industry trade group. ACG Cup challenges students to interpret and present a scenario involving valuation, industry insight, capital markets, and M&A strategic advising framework to a panel of industry professionals.

with a Walsh Bachelor of Business Administration Finance (BBA-FIN) degree.
Our Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance degree assists the student in developing an appreciation for and understanding of the financial decision making process. It is designed to provide an exposure to accounting, business law, and taxation concepts along with financial analysis, planning, and management.
The curriculum prepares the student for the fields of credit analysis, commercial lending, brokerage and financial services, financial planning, financial analysis, and financial institution management, as well as other careers in industry and government.
The deregulation of the banking industry has led to a boom in the need for financial professionals, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. As banks expand into new financial services portfolios, financial analysts and personal financial advisors with practical experience are valued above all others.
Bank branch managers, stockbrokers, underwriters, financial planners, and financial analysts are just some of the areas where a Walsh Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance is welcomed.
Starting salaries for degreed finance professionals range from $35,000 - $50,000 per year, according to the National Association of Colleges and Employers. With six years of experience, expected salaries increase to $56,000 - $78,000 per year.
Many professionals also receive a yearly bonus in addition to their salary, which may be based on the accuracy of predictions. Additional compensation may also be available from a commission on sales or a fee on assets.

In an increasingly complex business world where financial decisions can have far-reaching consequences, business leaders must have a comprehensive understanding of a wide variety of disciplines including interest rates, capital markets, investments and financial analysis.
The Master of Science in Finance degree from Walsh College provides you with the knowledge and skills needed to develop the strategies necessary to survive and thrive in this challenging environment. And because Walsh instructors are also practitioners, your education will include exposure to the very latest innovations in the world of finance.
Because so many Walsh students are employed while pursuing their degrees, the MSF program has been designed to take advantage of both 2+2 and online courses. The 2+2 format combines two
hours of weekly in-person classroom instruction with two hours of online learning, providing students with the flexibility to work around personal and work schedules. Selected courses are also available entirely online for additional convenience.
An MSF is often a requirement for senior-level positions in corporate finance, such as Controllers and CFOs. According to the National Association of Colleges and Employers, starting salaries in finance range from $55,400 to $84,000 for graduates with a master’s degree. CFOs can earn from $87,000 to $360,000, depending on the size of the company.
Other senior-level positions in corporate finance, including senior financial and cost analysts, can earn a median salary of $78,380, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

As finance becomes an ever-more integral component of modern business practice, the ability to maneuver within both disciplines is becoming a very valuable attribute.
The Walsh Dual MBA/MSF degree combines shared courses from the MBA program and six
additional courses from the MSF program into a single, concise program.
Because dual degree students are likely to be employed while pursuing their degrees, the MSF program is presented in a 2+2 format. This unique design provides the flexibility to work around a busy employment schedule.
