WHO IS THE THIEFSynopsis | Concepts Explanation

Synopsis

Started by a new batch of foundation in design students in Taylor University. In their very first group assignment there been few dramas plotted in. 4 students are assigned in a group for an assignment whom are Cindy, Wyn Jane, Nick and Irfaan Lecturer by Lim Yang Kang and Security guard by Khoo Zer Kai. The very 1st drama about group forming for the task assigned. 2nd will be the submissive group lack of cooperation while the opposite status acts on the dominant group. 3rd drama, crime been done and suspect are based on the external features and motion of a person. 4th the suspect not only been judged based on exterior feature but too in globally long term schema which is racism. Racism are judged based on skin tone colour.5th, suspect been torture through non-verbal messages and damaged the suspect mentally. 6th, came the lecturer to solve the accusation and convince the victim of the crime to let the lecturer himself to take good justice into this. lastly, the 7th suspect to be innocent and the real thief had identified by the lecturer. Then the thief’s been lifted by the lecturer and too motivate him to be a better person.

Stereotype

Based on the video, student will group with others based on the ability, stronger students in a group and weaker student in another group.

#2 Group SelectionGroups that have altruistic members tend to survive comparing to the groups with only

selfish members.

Group Selection

Based on the video, the weaker group doesn’t want to help each other, meanwhile, the stronger group are helping each other when they met problem.

#3 Social PerceptionThe study of how we perceive and form impression or judgement of others through their

appearance or social group.

Social Perception

Based on the video, they think he is a thief by their judgement because he looks like a thief. (Clothes, attitude)

#4 RacismNegative view of one group of people based solely on their membership in that group.

Racism

Based on the video, they think he is the thief because they think most thieves have darker colour in skin. Based on global schema.

#5 AggressionAggression is a range of behaviours that can result in both physical and psychological

harm to one, others or objects in the environment.

Aggression

The girls are scolding him because they think that he is the one who stole their model.

Type 1 : Verbal Aggression

The girls can’t control their temper and push his shoulder.

#6 PersuasionPersuasion is the process by which a person’s attitudes or behaviour influenced by

communications from other people, without duress.

Persuasion

Based on the video, lecturer persuade the girls to let him settle this situation.

#7 MotivationMotivation is what drive and inspire us to take action.

Motivation

The lecturer motivate him by not blaming him for stealing the model and gave him extra time to complete his work.
