MainCor Overview

Main Street Corridor Development Corporation (MainCor)

Founded in 1981 as a nonprofit community development center with an emphasis on economic/business development that brings together corporations, small businesses, institutions, neighborhoods and the City.

Mission: to provide support and technical assistance to encourage effective economic development along the Main Street Corridor to create a safe, clean, inviting place for people to visit, shop, live & work.

MainCor Overview

Main Street Community Improvement District (CID) Founded in 2007, serves as a self assessed taxing

district by the property owners that goes above and beyond city-provided services such as policing and maintaining public areas.

Mission: To promote the General Welfare and Common Good through a "Clean & Safe" program as well as increase Quality of Life and promote economic development in the surrounding urban area.

Armour Boulevard’s many high rise apartment buildings

The Hawthorne at 39th & Main, which will undergo historic renovations and add 76 market rate units on Main Street

The Park Reserve with the approximate addition of 100 condos
