FIDE World Junior Chess Championship for the Disabled Orlando, Florida, USA June 22-29, 2017 Overview We are delighted to announce the organization of the 1st World Junior Chess Championship for the Disabled. This championship will be held in Orlando, Florida, USA from June 22-29, 2017. This is the official invitation to all eligible participants, as approved by the FIDE Commission “Chess for the Disabled” (DIS). This event is only for disabled chess players who are under 20 yrs old as of June 22, 2017. Each relevant chess association (IBCA, IPCA, ICCD) regulates the conditions of their participation. General Information: Enjoy a magical stay near Walt Disney World® Theme Parks! Park Inn Resort and Conference Center Orlando by Radisson. Players must stay at the official hotel. Promo Code: “CHESS” 7-round Swiss tournament. This Championship is an individual open tournament. A team may represent a National Federation. All the players of a team must be members of the same federation. Special recognition to the top players under 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 & 20. The Organization will issue letters of Invitation for Visa purpose. Letter must be requested by the National Federations at least three months prior to the date of travel.
