Dear HCCs,

We are excited and pleased to present this bid to you all on behalf of Purdue University Calumet (PUC) to host the 2012 Indiana Residence Hall Organization (IRHO) F ll B i M ti (FBM) i O t b A RHA ti t d dFall Business Meeting (FBM) in October. As our RHA continues to grow and expand amongst our own campus, we are pushing ourselves to continue to grow and show our support for our very own Indiana organization.

IRHO has been one of our RHA’s greatest resources. During our time of restructure (Spring/Summer 2009), we gathered most of our research information from IRHO that helped guide us to become as successful as we are today. Although there have been

i b i h d f h i i b li f i IRHO’ f iminor bumps in the road for the organization, our belief in IRHO’s future success is so great that we are trying our best to show as much support as possible.

Over the last few years, we have grown to become a very dedicated group of individuals, of all types, encompassing and embracing diversity. From our programming efforts, community service and advocacy, we have strived to become an influential organization in the housing department and on our campus. Due to our great work, we were awarded the NACURH 2011 Building RHA of the Year Award. This award has encouraged us to continue to push forward to establish a name for our campus within the state, across the region and throughout the nation!

We are delighted to welcome our neighboring peers, within IRHO, to our campus community! We look forward to your arrival and hope that we put on a fantastic conference! Hope to see you all soon!y

Sincerely,

Purdue University CalumetResidence Hall Association

As student leaders in the residence halls on each of our respective campuses, we often put in numerous hours and overwhelming effort to provide an environment where students can feel at home, connect with each other, and excel in their academics. Although unintentional, our efforts can go unnoticed and unrecognized, but we still

Stars work very hard at what they do! However, even in the midst of all the diligence and business that takes place, we can still find ways to give back. The GLACURH 2012 conference is just around the corner and we believe that it would be great to help with the philanthropy for the conference. Let us help the children of Canada by giving back so that p py p y g gthey will have the opportunities to participate in sports and other recreational activities in which their parents cannot afford. GLACURH’S goal is to provide 20 children in Canada the opportunity to play sports in the 2012 year. PUC believes that IRHO can help to exceed this goal.

We are asking that every institution do their very best to raise funds to be donated to Jump Start. After we receive the donations from every school, we will work with Ju p Sta t te e ece e t e do at o s o e e y sc oo , e o tthe IRHO Directorship to donate the raised funds on behalf of IRHO and its affiliated schools. Let’s unite and show GLACURH how strongly Indiana feels about working together and giving back to a worthy cause!
