In 2016 MATTE was brought on by Helmut Lang

as the brand’s creative production agency to establish their digital content presence.

From conception, art direction, and production to post production and photo execution,

MATTE has supported Helmut Lang’s rebranding positioning , enlivening the label’s social

and online identity. To date, Helmut Lang has since measured strong consumer engagement

across the brand’s social avenues, having grossed over 20,000 organic Instagram followers

alone since first posting back in mid-February.

MATTE has worked side by side with Rag & Bone’s designers and production company

Project in directing content for the brand’s runway shows the past three seasons.

Taking a smarter and larger look at what campaign-quality live content could do for the brand,

MATTE’s videos have streamed in all rag & bone stores for the past three collections.

For our third season, MATTE directed and produced a cinematic,

music driven cut of the show. 65 cameras, drones, wire cams, a helicopter,

and two bullet time rigs later, the film is our most comprehensive cinematic recap.

MATTE’s relationship with swimwear and ready-to-wear brand Solid & Striped

began with behind-the-scenes film capture,

shooting models including Martha Hunt and Hilary Rhoda

during the brand’s campaign photo shoots.

MATTE now serves as their branding and creative services agency,

with a scope including honing the brand’s vision and voice,

art directing all film and photo shoots, designing all ads, digital collateral and more.

For the past year, MATTE has been a creative agency of record for Snapchat.

Acting as a creative partner to produce both original and branded content,

we have developed and executed a variety of projects,

including short form ads for brand partners and narrative short films.

We also design and conceptualize branded geofilters.

As an early collaborative partner, MATTE has helped pioneer the development

of best practices for ads that run on the fleeting social media platform.
